Chromecast Ultra Audio Problem on 1st start

Jump to Best Response

Dear Community!

I have a Chromecast Ultra and I play Stadia on it. I recently got a problem when I start Stadia for the 1st time. There is a stutter in the  audio and sometimes in the video too. Other Apps on the Chromecast like Youtube and Spotify are not affected.

I made a video to show this issue:

When I restart the app it always works again. This really only appears on the 1st start.

Thank you for your help!

Hey boern,

I have the same issue when using my CCU but only in certain games, such as GRID.

Sometimes the sounds seems to go off or somehow fades into a blurry background (e.g. MK11).

Restarting the game resolves these problems.

Can you observe this as well?

It does not go off but it's faltering, sometimes more, sometimes just a little.

It is either both in the start menu and ingame or just ingame

Restarting Stadia always solves the problem. It only occurs at the first start.

Ive had this recently. But seems to be ok now. Restart solved the audio, no big problem for me as restart is only a minute or two .
