Can't play Stadia on Chromecast is says the item isn't available in my country (I'm in the USA)

I'm trying to play on Chromecast (latest) however even. though. I updated my payment method, address, and (I'm currently in the US) I still can't access content and load stadia on Chromecast, it does work in chrome on my computer, however.

Hey @ArcanaMajoris , do you have any kind of error on your Chromecast when you try to run the game there?

also, you can try a factory reset of your Chromecast,

follow the instruction on this page to restore your chromecast https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6254654

Also remember that Stadia is only supported in Chromecast Ultra (CCU) and Chromecast with google TV (CCWGTV) if you have an older version of a Chromecast it is not supported!

Thanks I've done the reset already still nothing it keeps saying it's not available in my region

Are you using any kind of VPN?

No I'm not it's a regular connection, I'm in Sunnyvale California

Hey @ArcanaMajoris,

Just wanted to check in here with you and ask a couple of questions to see if we can help and find out what might be going on here. Can you please answer a couple of questions for us?
 

  • Which version of chromecast do you use?
  • Are you using a hardlined connection or a wireless connection?
  • If wireless, do you have multiple wifi networks broadcasting?
  • What kind of internet service do you use? Satelite, cable?
