Jump to solution

I have major audio/video sync issues with Stadia... but on the same chromecast ultra my other apps have no audio sync issues. Anyone else experiencing this?

I know it sound stupid but do you have the possibility to connect your ccu to an hdmi monitor? Maybe it's worth a try. And after that reconnect to TV. I hooe it will eork soon for you guys to. But who knows. Maybe it was a coaccident yesterday and today it's again not synced. I will test it later again.

I can try resetting my Chromecast. But even if it works, sounds like it's a temporary fix. It's not even a proper fix. Google definitely needs to patch this through a firmware update. None of us should have to constantly fiddle with unplugging and replugging anything

This is driving me insane now....Even though I was utterly convinced this is a Stadia problem, I've tried all sorts to try to find a fix for this. Swapping my ARC HDMI leads, turning off ARC and using optical cables. I've fiddled with every conceivable setting on both my TV and the soundbar. Rebooted and factory reset the chromecast... Nothing.

Nothing else connected to my TV is experiencing this issue. My Blu-ray player, PS4, Nintendo switch.. even the chromecast when streaming netflix or youtube is working fine, its ONLY Stadia that has this issue.

This is seriously making me doubt Stadia. I've been doing nothing but defend it in my personal friend circles, but this is going to be a showstopper for me. I get that this is early days but at least some form of acknowledgement from google would keep me happy. I've tagged Grace earlier in this thread, I've sent the stadia twitter account a tweet and a DM. Several others have lodged formal support requests.... nothing

@GraceFromGoogle@ChrisFromGooglePLEASE can you look into this and at least reassure us that this is being investigated?

You are absolutly right. At least they have to communicate with the early adaptors. They should at least answer the TOP 5 posts and the desynced audio is for one of the top 5 (most replies/views). We don't even know if the are aware of the problem or not...

I think they are aware. When it asks for feedback after playing a game on the CC, if I select fair it presents a list of potential issues and a/v sync is the top option. Bloody annoying though. The fact it isn’t outputting DD5.1 to my Sonos either is winding me right up. That coupled with the lack of true 4K is slowly eroding my need for a pro subscription.

As per a previous suggestion on this topic, I indeed tried unplugging and replugging and it made no difference. In fact this audio delay issue occurs on BOTH my Chromecast Ultras on two different TVs (I have Stadia setup in my living room and bedroom). I'm starting to now doubt this works well for anyone on Chromecast Ultra. Perhaps some people just don't notice it as much. Only thing I can see is that the audio delay is worse on my 4K HDR tv than it is on my older 1080p tv. However both are still noticeably bad and to me, it's unplayable like this.

I too am starting to suspect that with CCU sound is not in sync and people just don’t notice it. What I’ve started doing is each time after I close a game and Stadia asks for feedback, I enter « Fair » and provide reason « Audio no synced with Video ». Hopefully if people do that it will bring it to Google’s attention.
