@Carl1 Have you tried updating Chrome browser to the latest version? If yes, can you let us know which version you have, and which OS are you using?
Also might worth to try - open Stadia through Incognito mode. See if that helps.
@Ivan I am currently running this on windows 10 and i have the latest version of chrome. I tried incognito mode and it still wont get past the loading screen. Ive read the other discussion for this same issue but the solution did not work.
this is the version of google im using
Version 88.0.4324.96
Hiya @Carl1,
Could you try to run Stadia in the Chrome Canary version?
This version is more of BETA version of Chrome but sometimes comes with some extra features which could help.
So I would advice you to use this browser for Stadia only, ofcourse if it works. ![]()
Hi @Carl1 in addition to the Incognito mode proposed by @Ivan you can also try the solution posted here: https://community.stadia.com/t5/Stadia-on-Chrome/Solved-Unable-to-start-a-session-at-the-moment-Fail...
@HatDroid i have followed that discussion and tried the solution and it did not work for me
same problem , for ~ 1 week
update chrome to latest not ifx
Try to disable the VPN connection, if you run one. For me this was the fix, maybe this will help you too.
Thank you! It fixed it for me ![]()

Reset your chrome browser settings and clean up.
Try using the Chromium based Edge browser by Microsoft. That is working for me for now.
This so far has worked I had to uninstall chrome and just let edge do it's thing. I tried everything talked to Google for a day no solution talked to hp we decided to just reset my pc for the 5th time I was about to give up when I ran across this post thank you
I have the same problem when I try to play on my school network
Same @Henboy. i have been trying to enter a game on my school network which they have a trust certificate which stops games so i use a vpn and i have tried everything, incognito and ect.
pls @Shadowmeister if you find a solution
Me too XD
same here XDDDDD
I can play other games without getting this error. But sometime, more often than not I keep getting this error "RTC Client failed to Start" Here is a screen shot. I believe it is with the game itself not my computer set up or with software. New install for both. either fix this game or give me a **bleep** refund
I am not able to load my games and I can’t unplug the vpn because the games arent available in my countru
The problem seems to be the WebRTC feature of the browser and if it's disabled or blocked. It is responsible for detecting you IP address so that a connection can be established. Often ad blocker, privacy tools and other security features (e.g. VPN) of browser extensions or on the operation system level (perhaps even Antivirus tools if they support anonymity features) are responsible for that.
See picture of an ad blocker tool that supports this feature:

Hi everyone,
This is an older post so we're going to go ahead and lock it now. If anyone still needs help after trying the suggestions here, I'd recommend creating a new post so that you can get better visibility in our community.
Thank you,
