Why wont just dance 2022 connect to my phones as controllers through chromecast?

I’ve tried so many times to use the manual pairing code it gives me and it just infinite loops me and asks what platform I am playing on and my pairing code over and over. Maddening! 

“waiting for smartphone connection…” 

 

yea I know! Anyone know how to get past this? Thanks!

Hello @itsaboutgood,

I'm so sorry you are having this issue. Infinite loops can be maddening at times. Let's see what we can do to get this sorted out for you.

  • Can you double check to see if your mobile device and your Chromecast are on the same Wifi Network?
  • Restart your mobile device
  • Restart your Chromecast
  • Delete and Reinstall the Just Dance app

Hey James!

 So we DID figure this out. Our only solution every single time is to do manual connect. Automatic connect has never worked for us so we just do manual connect every time. 

Do you think by deleting just dance and reinstalling it OR by restarting chromecast we will get automatic connection? To be honest, I think we’ll just keep doing manual connect. Even though it is troublesome, it gets the job done. 


Do you know if any other controllers work using stadia or do we have to use our phones for every dance?

Hi @itsaboutgood,

Sorry for the late response. Based on what I've been able to find, it looks like at this time Ubisoft only has mobile device compatibility to use as a scoring device. I can't promise that those troubleshooting steps will for sure help fix the Auto Connect issue, but they are a good start. Keep us updated with how it goes.
