Ubisoft Games Not Launching

Me and my friend bought Ghost Recon Breakpoint a while ago and played it a bit but then stopped, and recently when I tried to open the game again it just dimmed the screen a bit but didn't open the game. After this I noticed all my Ubisoft games I bought like Assassin's Creed were doing the same thing as well and they don't even show in the store. I tried going into Stadia settings and even Google settings but I can't find anything. I don't know what to do.

Just a long shot but if your age as set on your google account is below the minimum age on the game (Ghost recon and Assassins creed are both PEGI18) you can't start the game and they won't show up in the store any more.

It recently happened to my daughter so perhaps this is your issue as well.

 

(It's a bit weird that Stadia doesn't show an error message when this happens so that people at least know what is happening. But it's a bit typical of Stadia I guess where they'd just rather people get upset for things not working all the sudden and stop using the service rather than giving them an explanation.)

Hi @Dead_Viking,

Have you tried playing in an incognito window? Just to remove and possibly that any extensions you have is causing some problem

If possible try the games on a different device as well.

If you have any other non ubisoft game to start I would also try starting that next time the issue happens. Or waiting for about 15-30 minutes between attempts if this issue happens again

I have tried other games and non-Ubisoft titles run perfectly but those games refuse to load, and I did try Incognito but it doesn't work and turned off all extensions but they still don't launch. And I mostly play on my pc but I tried on my tablet and chromecast and they still don't work.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I'm sorry you are having this issue. I myself LOVE Ghost Recon Breakpoint, so not being able to play this game would frustrate me too. I just double checked and I was able to open both Breakpoint and Fenyx RIsing, so it doesn't seem to be a user wide issue. The first question that comes to mind is, do you subscribe to Ubisoft +? I wonder if that has something to do with the issue you are having. Also, with what you are describing, it does sound like a potential network issue. This might not be possible, but could you try signing into a different Stadia account to see if the issue persists? Give us an update when you can.

Hi there!

I have been trying to reach stadia support for the past three days to no effect...

All the games that I bought recently won't open. There isn't even a play button on the screen. Also I noted missing equipment.

What is going on with the support here? I worked for several companies, and ALWAYS our policy was to provide our clients with a response withing 24 hours time frame.
