so, i love stadia. but nowadays i use it for eso strictly. mayhaps farcry 5, or if you guys get 6 on here on release date... nevertheless
I've done nothing but support stadia. but I've come to realize i am now LESSER than my steam counterparts, who are able to use ADDONS. get this - to EVERY GAME if applicable. i know this is a cloud based streaming service, practically Netflix for video games, whereas steam is local based in your own pc. but this is a deal breaker for not only me, but the whole Elder Scrolls Online STADIA community being in the millions. this may not seem like a big deal to you guys, you will probably tell me "you're working on it" due to some lame verbatim script, but its 2021. been a few years.... we wont wait another year before switching to easier play style.
HERE IS MY ACTUAL QUESTION THAT IS ANSWERABLE ![]()
it is allowed in game that users my gift players crowns for IN GAME GOLD. there is no system for this, as player to player trading without use of a brokerage system is highly preferred. just like Vinyl comparted to Digital... it just feels better.
NOW. on STEAM, you don't have to go to the STEAM store to buy crowns (in game currency for unique items such as skins), you buy them AND gift them in game. STADIA only gives me the option to buy them, not gift them.
Can i gift motherfu**** '* crowns in stadia? or am i going to have to switch to steam and discontinue my stadia pro annual membership completely ? also - another thing steam is able to do and stadia cannot - you're not gonna believe this - CNTRL + V paste text !!!! ITS 2021!!! WHAT THE F**K!? ill be checking tommorow afternoon for a response, as its time sensative for a birthday present.
Seems like you should post this at Bethesda/ESO support and not on the Stadia forums. None of your questions are Stadia issues but rather game vendor issues. As an example; Google/Stadia won't implement addons into a game, the game vendor would have to do it.
Anyway, you might want to read this on the topic of crowns:
You don't directly trade crowns, regardless of platform, in ESO. You use your crowns to buy stuff in the crown store, either directly to yourself or to someone else by gifting stuff.
So if you want to give someone a birthday present. Just tell the person that they will get xyz worth of crowns from the store from you as a present. Then ask specifically what the person wants from the store. Buy the crows for it (in the stadia store) and gift the store items in game to the person.
Hello @xBeaverGogglesx,
I understand your frustations but swearing wont help bringing the message in a better way.
So you are asking Stadia to be able to gift things like games and in-game addon's correct?
That is one of the things that I am also missing.
Best thing you can do is send your (constructive
) feedback with the Feedback option on stadia.google.com.
For now my guess is that you are not able to gift things with Stadia tomorrow. ![]()

but isnt it a stadia problem if every other platform is in the current year?
As far as I am concerned, I have to agree here that this doesn't seem to be a Stadia Problem but more a thing that the developers need to have a look at, because it's their game on this platform.
Regarding addons - you will probably not see them in ESO on Stadia as well as on consoles, because the game is running on Stadia servers, not on your PC. That's the big difference to the game on PC or via Steam. Because when you have access to the gamefiles, you can use addons. Impossible for consoles and Stadia here, so I believe this is something that will not change in the near future.
About the gifting system with crowns - I haven't tried it yet on Stadia, but it should work as described above, if you purchase something for crowns you can usually say while buying it, who shall get this item as a gift. So this system works basically ingame as it's a game-feature. If this doesn't work on Stadia, this is therefore a thing that the developers would need to implement. Does this not work for you?
For CTRL + paste (copy and paste I believe): I was unaware as well, that this doesn't work for ESO on Stadia (I am playing it most of the time on PC), so this would be also something that ZOS (the developer) need to fix, but it might also be something that they couldn't bring to this platform, maybe because it's working like a console in a way, so that's why you can't use it? Might be worth though to ping the developers in this case to figure out if that's something they're planning at least or if it's intended to work like that.
