Stuck at 720 or lower?

I have seen this posted a few times. But it never gets resolved?
So here I go and post my own..

Ping tests are great. Latency great, connection great.
Absolutely nothing indicates a bad connection.

Everything points to 4K capability. 

Yet here I am.. Not even able to stream 1080... What the hell?
Quality is bad enough but some games are even capped at 30FPS, which means that quality makes it unplayable!
(ESO for example).

Please, if anyone knows a fix that actually works, tell me!
I want this to work.

I will ofc mark a solution so it is easier for people with same prob to find.

Tried extensions, forcing scripts, looking at chrome://gpu/ and chrome://flags/.
Tried other browsers including canary.

The funny thing is. The first 5 min of gameplay (ever) on stadia, it streamed perfect 1080p!

Have you tried the troubleshooting steps mentioned in this article already? If not, I would suggest to try them first as they often help with those quality-issues with Stadia.

If that doesn't help and as you mentioned you've tried some Chrome steps already, it might be worth to contact the Stadia support team to see if they have any additional troubleshooting steps you can try or if it's a bug they might be able to investigate this further with you together.

Hi, @Anvnamnet .

I was in a similar situation. I tried Brave browser with Stadia Enhaced (last version) and now it works on 1080. You could try this combination. I recommend using a browser only for Stadia to avoid problems with extensions or whatever.

Anyway, if you can play 1080 for five minutes and after that resolution get down, it seems there is something cutting your Internet bandwidth or stability.

In other hand, it's a bit annoying the need of extensions to get Stadia running fine in a browser. This should be provided by Google Stadia and integrated in the core.

Already tried enhanced..  Still stuck at fudging 720..

And the 30 fps cap in games makes me not want stadia at all. So mods can close this thread. Nothing to be done about bad quality and I am no longer interested in finding a solution since this service is a joke.
