Has anyone experienced any lagging and streaming quality playing on Chrome lately? Playing on my TV, when chrome cast doesn't disconnect my controller or the game becomes unresponsive to the controller, but the controller is still responsive to Stadia, the game doesn't lag at all. When I HAVE to move to my MacBook Pro because of the issues mentioned above, The Division 2 lags BAD!!!!!! I know it's not my internet because I have 1 Gbps speeds, and it can't be my 2019 MacBook Pro because Chrome is the ONLY thing I have running at the time. To be sure of that, I've created a new user on my MacBook to play Stadia specifically, and Chrome is the only thing running. I believe the issue is Chrome itself and nothing else. I just wanted to get others' opinions to see if ya'll have noticed the same thing.
Hi there,
Here are couple things you could try.
First, if you are using Wi-Fi, make sure you are close to the router and connected to the 5ghz network, 2.4ghz will not work properly with Stadia. Also refresh the router by turning it off for 15 sec and on again.
Turn off the mac location services. For some reason this cause lag with Stadia.
On mac, click on the mac icon then :
-> System preferences -> Security and privacy -> Privacy -> uncheck "Enable location service".
After try to turn off Vsync, here is the topic talking about it:
Let me know if one of these suggestions solved your problem.
Hey,
What I ended up doing was going to the settings and making sure JavaScript was turned on, which it was, and then I clicked “Add” beside “Allow” and added “stadia.google.com,” and I haven’t had any lagging since then. I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence or not, but Ima keep an eye on it, and hopefully, it doesn’t lag anymore! Thanks for the potential fix! My MacBook Pro is connected via Ethernet, and the WiFi is turned on, but my controller is connected via USB-C.
Glad you solved it. Good find.
I believe Stadia do need JavaScript to perform well. I think this is in Stadia official website troubleshooting.
