Hi everyone!
I have an Asus C434T and I have been enjoying Stadia at 1080p since March, however with no apparent reason it just started stuttering mostly in Destiny 2! I have tested GRID and Metro Exodus and the stutter is not there or at least is not as apparent as is in Destiny.
The weird part is that it was fine until a few days ago! I have tried to connect the chromebook through an ethernet cable, reset the controller, tried chrome incognito and chrome beta, enabled hardware acceleration flag and even "Powerwashed" the chromebook and none made any difference! Something have clearly changed about a few days ago and can't figure what...
No downloads or any other bandwidth intensive tasks are being done in my network and speedtests are as they have ever been. My ISP is Virgin, connection 350/35 and pings at ~11ms!
On a side note, I have stopped playing on my CCU (hard-wired) as the input lag is quite bad when compared with the experience in the chromebook, however at this point don't know which one is less worse as with the CCU I have very noticeable input lag with no stutter and with the chromebook I have stutter with no apparent input lag... ![]()
Don't know what to do at this point...
Is Hyper-Threading enabled on your Chromebook? I was having stutters aswel, fixed it with enabling Hyper-Threading.
In the browser go to: chrome://flags/#scheduler-configuration
In there, set "Scheduler Configuration" to "Enables Hyper-Thread". Reboot.
Input lag on the CCU is probably due more to your TV than anything. Are you sure you've got "game mode" or similar enabled on the CCU input while you're playing on that?
If the problem is just Destiny on your Chromebook it's probably just a "Destiny" thing and not the service itself, and will probably correct itself eventually.
Unfortunately the stuttering still carries on in my Chromebook! Like you said, I kind of hope too it is just a Destiny thing and they will eventually fix it soon however due to the fact that I don't see anybody else complaining about similar issue, I'm starting to think it is something on my end!
I was testing several videos on youtube at 4k60fps and it plays them flawlessly... I guess this laptop is more than capable of playing Stadia at 1080p and the proof is that I have been playing for several months w/o stuttering!
Not sure what else to try...

That seem to have fixed the stuttering! Thanks a lot for the tip.![]()
There's still some dropped frames here and there but much better than before!
I wonder what changed since one or two weeks ago given that I used to play well with untouched chrome flags...
Thanks again!
So, still stuttering and ONLY with Destiny?
No more stuttering after enabling HT!
Great news. Good luck on gaming ![]()
I'm having stuttering in Doom Eternal on Windows since the last Windows Update
