Since latest update (beta, 83.0.4103.21) when I plug a Stadia or PS4 controller into my HP X2 chromebook, Stadia (chrome tab or PWA) doesn't see it. I have tried multiple Stadia and PS 4 controllers.
I can use the controllers to play other games on my chromebook from the play store (GTA for example), but nothing registers in Stadia when I press any buttons.
I have powerwashed and tried this on the devloper channel, canary channel and stable channel.
I have removed all extensions but Hangouts, docs offline, and app runtime.
I have also tried this with my account on other Chromebooks, also with no success.
Have tried multiple cables, including the OEM, usb c to usb c, usb a to usb c. Still nothing.
The controllers work with my Chromecast Ultra and connected to my Pixel 4 XL.
Any help is appreciated!
Same problem here. The Stadia controller was working on my Pixelbook yesterday prior to updating (was on Beta 81). Updated and now running CrOS 83 Beta and Stadia will not recognize the controller.
Still no solution to this, I've factory reset all my controllers, also tried logging into Stadia via Guest mode and Incognito.
It will work for half a game session, and then any response from the controller cuts out
Again, no issue on Chromecast or Pixel
Have you guys tried powering off the Chromebook completely, then plugging in the controller, and then powering on the Chromebook? That works for me on 83.
I have tried this and it will intermittently work after a power down, but it will always cut out midgame.
Same issue on Pixelbook since update to 83...
Resolved via Stadia update for wireless support on Chrome
Wireless support for Stadia controller works well but I don't think it resolves completly the issue. Wired is still broken.
