Playstation contoller bugging out dramatically during play.

I've been playing Destiny 2 on Stadia Pro on a Chromebook since the free two-month trial was announced. I've been using a PlayStation dualshock 4 controller without issues, until about two weeks ago the touch pad button in the center now switches controller modes from controller to PC. Which makes absolutely no sense, and I've yet to find anyone else with similar issues. I've tried using different PlayStation controllers and they all had the same issue. And now, during play, randomly my controls seem to lag. The game keeps pressing the same buttons I'm pressing repeatedly, and refuse to react to my inputs on my controller, making my character spin and jump and bob and shoot, as if the computer had a mind of its own. And if I try and hit the keyboard to switch to PC controls, most of the time Stadia stops altogether and says a glitch has occurred. I'm so tired of this problem that I ordered a Stadia controller, but I'm worried that'll just make things worse. What can I do?

Sorry to hear that...

I am using Dualshock 4 (DS4 - 1st gen) with my Asus Chromebook (CB) as well but I have not had the issue you've described. I mainly use bluetooth connection between DS4 and CB, and sometimes via USB connection if I need to charge it while playing.  I do notice the [Touch] pad on DS4 and the [Share] button serves the same function.

Also it would be cool if Capture function (screen shot AND clip) could work for the DS4 + Chromebook combo, since we don't have the [F12] key on our keyboards...

I've been exclusively using the controller wired in. Also, this happens to be a school-issued chromebook, so I have yet to get onto getting my own, better chromebook, or laptop, but I'll get there eventually!
