When I browse the store, select a game and look at the screenshots of that game, they're very very blurry for some reason. The same is the case for the images in my library, and the large image + logo you see when booting a game. I've tried logging in and out, clearing browser data, and both Edge and Chrome have this issue for me. Even on another PC I had the same issue with my account.
See the Destiny 2 blurry example below:
Below is how it's supposed to look:
The same goes for the shop screenshots:
I would appreciate any feedback or help on this matter.
Kind regards,
Kate
Ok I think we figured out the incident.
It's the same image but parameters set the resolution (at the end of the link =s0-rw-no = 3840px, =e14-rw-no = 512px).
See below the original and the one (512px) oversized at the same dimensions (512px -> 3840px) :
It's totally your incident ![]()
I'm not sure but.. do you have any addons to access mobile website or something like ? Or Javascript blocker addons ?
Probably you are sending, for a reason that I ignore, not the good resolution to Stadia when loading Home / Store (Javascript/Ajax vars ?)
Could you please try in private navigation and tell me if the problem is the same ? If you have addon enabled while in private navigation, disable them first.
I wonder if this problem has something to do with your internet connection as you mentioned you tried 2 different browsers and 2 different PCs and the problem exists on both. Some ideas to try here could be:
Apart from that you can also check in with the Stadia support to see if they maybe have any further steps for you. Or maybe someone else here in the community does also have any further ideas for you.
Hi,
Thanks for your reply, but this has nothing to do with my internet connection. My games all play fine, the PCs I have tried have wifi and ethernet, I use a Nest router with a speed of 700 Mb/s download and upload. I'm quite sure it must be a bug in the stadia website or my account in particular. Thanks for the suggestion though ![]()
Hello @Midnight_Luv,
Strange bug here ! Most people that have this kind of problematic have it in game, not in the store ! ![]()
Could you please provide your configuration ? We need :
It has nothing to deal with internet connexion : it's pictures. If you have clean your cache and the problem remain, it is probably the way it display.. do you have the same problem in game ?
Hi @Barthandelus ! Thanks for your response. Here is the info you requested:
Thanks again!
I can't paste the PDF so I have Drive link: GPU PDF
Strange, I'm pretty sure I answered your topic. Sorry for the late answer.
Could you please try with a zoom of 100%, first ? Just to try, set back to 200% after.
Your OS isn't the cause.
I don't know what Intel Iris Plus is. Is it a simulated GPU like Intel HD Graphics ? It looks like but I'm not sure.
Also, can you explain how you did the good screenshot ? From another computer or with anothers setups ? This could help.
No problem! Sorry for the late answers myself, I don't seem to be getting emails when someone replies despite having checked the box.
Setting the zoom to 100% unfortunately did not fix the issue, the images remain blurry (and now very small of course).
The Intel Iris Plus is indeed a simulated GPU like the Intel HD Graphics, only a newer version (still bad for games of course, which is why I have Stadia). It's found on my Intel Core i5-1035G4.
The screenshot with the 'good' images is from when I first boot Stadia- I forgot to mention that, but when I first boot up the stadia PWA (or website for that matter), the images on the homescreen appear normal. When I however load any other part of the Stadia site (store, launching a game, library, screenshots), the images all become blurry from that point onwards.
Thanks again!
Interesting !
So if I understand well, when you launch Stadia, everything seems well, but if you change to the Store, navigate a bit, then get back on the Stadia Home, it's blurry.
Here is a test to do :
Please note that disabling cache may have fixed your issue, so if you don't see any problem now, this was the solution.
Push F12 again to close the developper console or click on the cross on the top-right corner of the developper console to close it.
Thanks again for the continuing and fast responses @Barthandelus ,
I've just tried out what you suggested, and I can confirm that in the images that are loading in the networking section of the dev tools, the issue persists. Here is one of the images from the store of the game Hundred Days, for example (don't know if that link works for you actually but I hope so). As you can see, it is only a resolution of 512x288, for some reason.
When loading Stadia initially, I can confirm that the images in the Networking section are indeed high resolution. Here is the Destiny 2 background image that I pulled form the Networking section, for example. When I go to the store and go back home again, the Destiny 2 background is reduced to 512x288 once more.
I also made sure to check the cache and log checkmarks. Thanks again!
Edit: accidentally copy pasted the reply twice.

Hi @Barthandelus ,
While testing out Stadia in incognito mode, I found out that the issue seems to somehow have resolved itself! My store now has normal images again, and my games launch with full resolution title screens again. Thanks for your input! I guess it must have been a bug on Stadia's side or an extension that got updated indeed.
