I have a 1440p monitor but resolution in-game is 1080p

I easily fulfill all requirements for running on higher resolutions but is still stuck on 1080p causing the games to look ugly and blurry. Why am i not getting higher resolution? It is even set to 4K in the stadia options.

Hi @TheBäver,

Can you check if your have VP9 enabled. In Chrome do the following:

chrome://gpu/

1. 'Scroll down to "Video Acceleration Information."'

2. 'If you see "Decode VP9", your computer supports VP9 hardware decoding.'

If you don't see it you could try a unofficial plugin like Stadia+ or Stadia Enhanced to force VP9 using your CPU.

There is a line: 

Decode vp9 profile0 64x64 to 8192x8192 pixels

I have a gaming graphic card so that should not be an issue

I have the same problem. Found no fix yet and I tried alot.

Do note that not all games support 1440 and up. 

I also have 1440p monitors. What I did was to install the Stadia enhanced chrome plugin. It can force the stream to 1440p.
