I must admit since I have used Chrome in the past...I was not expecting much.
Yet, this is probably the worst cloud experience I saw so far. It stutters every other second where it goes between excellent and so bad that it says I will disconnect. I have just tried it on Google Chrome on Macbook but I have 100mbps+ internet service.
Has anybody had luck on Google Chrome? If not, I am already calling it quits after 10 minutes and returning to other cloud gaming services. The alternatives are not perfect, but their downsides are way more tolerable than Stadia (while still in BETA to boot.) Plus, the data usage is way higher than other services for whatever reason (with fewer games available.)
Here's hoping that Alphabet will fix their service, but these are the same issues still...after all this time.
Hello @dankdinotrees
If you're playing via WiFi on a Macbook, make sure you disable location services. It uses the WiFi adapter to scan for nearby WiFi access points every few seconds to determine your current approximate location, and this disrupts the Stadia stream enough to be noticeable. Plenty of people play Stadia on mac hardware just fine, but this is the one change that is most important when trying to play over WiFi. If that doesn't improve things, then it's possible other parts of your network are not managing to provide the stability Stadia needs.
I've had a great time with my main computer, I couldn't get it running on a Chromebook or an old desktop (but that has a weak USB wifi adapter). I have around ~330 mbps when playing.
