The streaming quality is extremly bad via Chrome on PC. My internet bandwith is 100Mbit and I use Stadia via lan cable.
I already enabled/disabled the hardware acceleration, I reinstalled chrome, I deleted the cache, I tried it on my laptop, deactivated ms antivir
Usually the streaming quality is even worse than shown in the screenshot.
Do you have this quality problem on all devices and also with all games or only specific games?
On all devices (1 Pc and 2 Laptops). I bought one of the laptops last month, so fresh windows etc, Chrome isnt even synced with the other pcs.
Ingame its says that there is no issue with the connection.
I also tried the Stadia app and changed some nvidia 3d settings for chrome. Nothing changed.
I think there is an option to choose visuals over frame rate in settings->graphics. However, this will likely reduce the frame rate.
Doesn't change anything.
Can you try the steps in this article? Often those are helpful when having bad quality on Stadia.
If this still doesn't solve the issue, it might be a good idea to contact the Stadia support and see if they have any further troubleshooting for you that might solve the issue.
I followed the steps in the article. I already tried everything in there except 1 step but it didnt help...
And I contacted the Stadia support about one hour ago. Showed him this forum post. He told me to go to settings and set 1080p.... Amazing!
Then he told me he cant help me, he will pass on my case to an expert. But the expert will contact me next week maybe.
I wait until tonight and then I will refund the game and hopefully forget about the bad experience with Stadia soon.
Hey Steppo,
I can understand that this must be frustrating for you. Personally I would recommend to wait for the experts reply as they can only help if you (as a customer) are working together with them. Most problems can also stem from different things, so your case might be different than others who don't have bad streaming quality.
I can understand though if you want to refund the game already, as there is only a specific window to do so, so if you don't want to wait it makes sense to proceed with that.
Hope your problem can be solved at the end.
Others have mentioned to disable VSync in the NVidia applications settings among other settings.
Didnt work at first because of badly installed drivers so i remove all NVIDA drivers, rebooted and made a clean driver
installation. After rebooting and setting it to 4K i now have greatly improved graphics.
Or at least the blurryness is gone, especially in the menues its now crystal clear.
Note, it does seem to change the stream because it feels a bit more laggy now.
Used Intel CPU integrated graphics, Nvidia graphics card and AMD graphic card... The same result with all three. Also tried another internet provider in the meantime...
