Dual Monitors and being able to use the second screen

Jump to Best Response

This is just a feature request I think. I run dual monitors on a docking station with a Dell XPS 13. Stadia runs great but I really dislike that it "locks" you out of using the mouse to access the second screen once you go into full screen game mode. I am using a controller mostly to play but it does the same thing with a mouse. You can Alt-tab out of it to access your second screen so a work around exists. I just kind of want to be able to scroll through game notes or look up something if I am stuck on the second screen. Anybody else running a setup like this and having a different experience or better idea then pause, Alt-tab, do thing, go back to game, un pause?

Unofficial but the Stadia+ Chrome extension will allow you to use Stadia in Windowed mode.  You have to be a bit tricky though.

Shift+Tab to access the Stadia menu and then click the windowed mode button that appears with the extension installed.  Then you'll have to move your mouse outside of Chrome elsewhere on your desktop (such as to your other monitor), then use the controller to exit the Stadia menu NOT the mouse or keyboard.  I've tested this and found that I can continue to play the game via the controller, while the mouse remains free to move about on the rest of the desktop using this method.

Nice! I will check this out. Sounds like a not terrible work around for now.
