I'm trying to play cyberpunk via the chrome browser, but the visuals are very bad and the game is a bit laggy. I've got 250 Mbps, so that shouldn't be the problem. Is there any way to solve this issue?
@Hoi13 Is this only an issue with Cyberpunk or do you experience the same with other games?
And what operating system are you using?
I have the same issue and it is ONLY in cyberpunk. Other games work well, network speed is good and so on. There are TONS of reports of Cyberpunk having REALLY bad visuals when played on chrome for a lot of people, the only question is when is it going to get fixed?
I have tried all solutiouns I could find so far and none of them have helped
@Hygglot I've been primarily playing it on Chrome and I thought it looked pretty good, but that is on a Chromebook with a 13" screen so maybe I'm missing something. I do see a clear difference in visual quality when I change the in-game setting to prioritize visuals, and the inverse when I select to optimize for framerate. I also think it looks better with the blurring effects disabled but that might be a personal preference.
I've played it both on a 24" screen and a 70" 4k TV, the blur is a lot more noticable on the bigger screen so I can imagine on a 13" it is not as much a big of a deal. I have motion blur off in the settings (always have in all games) but this is a different kind of blur. More like pixelation, just that the "pixels" are probably 100x100 pixels in size. It lookls like playing a 144p video in youtube (and is likely due to the compression I've come to understand.) If Google allowed Stadia users to stream with a higher bitrate than just 35Mbps, I think this could easily be solved for those that have the connection speeds for it.
Also interestingly enough, setting to visuals over framerate does absolutely nothing to change this behaviour.
Same for me. Looks shabby af; as if it were some old GTA
This is still times and times better than in some darker areas where it is much much more noticable for me
It's blurry for me on Chrome but sharp in the incognito mode and on Chromium. Google support suggests it's due to some Chrome extensions but switching them all off did not help. Resetting Chrome setting to default helped. It also switched off all extensions.
Same issue here, it's okay on ccu t the big TV but on win10 with Chrome it's totally looking worse than old gta plus bad latency and annoying mouse smoothing.
Same here...
Same, and i'm having seriuos bug issues
Finally I've resolved the blurry problem.
1 - You have to download "stadia enhanced" plugin for Chrome.
2 - go to stadia web page
3 - on the right top, near pad icon, click on arrow down.
4 - select on "stream" option 2160p (4k)
enjoy Cyberpunk with no blurry ![]()
That only helps for some people, and only to a certain degree not entirely. On my 4k TV this doesn't help at all, for my small 24" 1080p screen it gets better but not all good
doesn't work for me.
Hi all together,
having the same problems. Specially in dark areas it looks really bad in chrome. Haven't tried it on CCU yet as it is still on the way. If you zoom in into the picture you can see really huge artefacts.
I think the problem seems the compression of images. I'm trying with a 4k resolution on Chrome and I have the same problem especially on dark areas.
Yeah I think that's unfortunately going to be A Thing with video streams, regardless of how the source content is rendered. The almighty algorithm compresses the video content to make it fit through the narrow internet pipes, and the dark bits of the frame bear the brunt of that compression.
cyberpunk in browser would be 1 FPS to play
