I want to play a game on Stadia from my laptop using Chrome browser. When I attempt to start playing, I get a message "To continue, please connect a stadia compatible gamepad..." Can't I just use my mouse and keyboard?
@scoffman7192 You definitely can. Which mouse and keyboard are you using? Also, have you updated to the latest Chrome browser?
Which game were you trying to play btw? I know for PUBG for example you need to use a controller since the game doesn't support m/kb on Stadia, but for most other games it's usually fine.

I think I found out what the issue was. Sounds like PUBG doesn't support mouse and keyboard anymore. Unfortunate, it's the only reason for me to get Stadia so will be cancelling account.
At first I also had this issue... I was playing CS for good few years, so FPS for me equals mouse + keyboard
Unfortunately my PC couldn't run PUBG, I found out about Stadia and fired up PUBG there
When I saw that only gamepad is supported I was thinking about resigning, but.. I forced myself to learn playing on controller
At first it was a nightmare, but now I kinda can say that it's 100% doable, you can even win chiken dinner (I know I did:D)
I even watched some guy's youtube video for best controller settings (in game) and now I feel comfortable playing FPS on gamepad
It's just a question of being able to overcome learning period ![]()
