I keep getting kicked off stadia because of an "unstable connection" I took multiple speed test and this is what I'm getting.
Note the time and different websites.
Not sure why the huge difference.
I'm fairly confidente that the issue has to do with google server loads (i.e. peak times, distance to servers, people accessing the servers) because I troubleshot everything locally including ISP and no issues were found.
Only Stadia was being affected therefore I believe it's like a VPN where when you access that particular server you will generally get slower speeds than by using the nearest server to you. I live in Hawaii which is technically not supported by Stadia due to the lack of infostructure.
I play with people from varied places and those near large cities tent to have better connections.
Anyways that is my best guess.
The first question I was going to ask was whether you were using a VPN as that will definitely impact the speeds you can receive from Stadia. A lot of free VPN services will limit your speed and even paid VPNs will have an impact on speed.
In general with a VPN (not necessarily specific to Stadia) it's usually worth connecting to the closest VPN server to you physically, but sometimes different locations or VPN providers might give you a better connection for different services. Also, some companies might limit your connection if they detect you're connecting via a VPN. Not specific to Stadia, but it might help you out with other stuff ![]()
I have ran multiple speed tests, pings, checked for packet loss, and among other things. Still my connection is horrible with stadia and I either get that message or i get the message saying games might not work. I've come to the conlusion that it has to be something on stadias end, and that there service isn't well optimized at all.
this is the message i get from stadia speed test. and i get horrible performance.
