After doing a lot of post i have come to see that if we do not get bf2042 or some other big online fps game like cod, I will be getting a new pc rig. Stadia is freaking amazing but this is getting crazy at this point. I will not be missing out on games like that just to stream a game.
Hello @Viridian3965
I was also hoping to see BF2042 land on Stadia. But, I also have a gaming PC on which I play games like CoD as well as Stadia games. It's the best of both worlds – I get to play a few games that aren't on Stadia while still getting the advantages of Stadia for the games that are there. In short, this isn't an either/or situation – you can have both and use them as you choose. I like being able to pick from my growing Stadia Pro library without having to download anything, and play some of those games on my TV occasionally. But, CoD is a requirement as well (for me – I'm going to give R6:Siege a try when it lands, though).
SO with you just wish i did not have to buy a rig in the first place.
Definitely! My current rig is from 2015 with upgraded RAM and a 1060. It's really not going to cut it much longer, so I'm really hoping I won't have to replace it – especially right now.
I just upgraded to a AMD Ryzen 9 5950X but don't want to pollute my Linux Machine with hundreds of Games. I use Linux to have a Clean Machine without crap I didn't want. So I really embrace the Idea of stadia. I'm using Geforce Now as well for that reason. But without Tripple A Titles or Future Proof Features like Ultrawide Support, State-Save for all Titles, VR aso...this Tech has no Future!
So at least keep up with the Games Linup all other Platforms have. Release BF2042
@Viridian3965 I don't see any reason why you can't keep both. If you have the fund to build a new PC, then you should go ahead and do it. Maybe cancel Pro sub in the meantime if you don't want to accumulate costs.
In the future when you see a game you enjoy back on Stadia, you can just purchase the game and go back in.
Always good to have options isn't it ![]()
@Ivan because most people don't want multiple platforms we want everything in 1 place
In my opinion, the nice thing about Stadia is that it's not an either/or thing (so no Xbox vs. PS kind of thing to get a certain game). If you need a super PC to play a certain title, more power to you! The nice thing is you then have a super PC you can play Stadia games on, too.
Really, the developers of games like this (is it EA?) are only missing out on people like me that don't have the time or resources to have multiple platforms just to get ALL the games; it just means I only play certain games that I have access to. Their loss, really.
We need to push Google into given us new die hard stadia fans more of the new games.the already have a deal with EA so why we can't get battlefield 2042? Let's start a #tag on stadia to make them give us the good games.
Cause we make them rich. They need us.
Facts, Stadia needs to get those more popular games in their library. Only way more people will link in with the Stadia community.
Just got the new xbox seris x i will never return to stadia. The new xbox is so amazing
Bye
You can actually use stadia on the xbox browser, best of both worlds if you happened to purchase games on stadia and don't want to rebuy everything.
Not having important games like Battlefield is the only reason I still play Xbox. I wanted to move on. But Stadia is dropping the ball by not securing the major title deals. Certain titles, you can't pass on. Battlefield and Destiny are must haves. I'm sure many people feel that way about CoD too. So, my Stadia sits idle until they get it together; controllers fully charged for no reason.
I feel the exact same way. BF2042 or I'm done.
For me it's not even about this specific title, it's about being an option in the video game industry. When these major AAA games come out, you usually have 3 options, PC, Playstation, and Xbox. Stadia, with Cyberpunk, showed the world it could be the 4th option. If Stadia is not going to get the next-gen AAAs, we are going to keep having the 3 famous options and Stadia can say goodbye to the chances to gain its slice of the pie.
I hope it will available on Stadia soon. Games like that should be available on the platform to make it popular and bring more players to it.
I 100% agree, If i need to buy a new Card im Out. Finally a Cross Plattform BF to Play with the whole Squad. And there is No technical limitation stopping them.
The **bleep** thing is. I bought Google stadia because it's amazing. Supported it from the start. But I'm almost ready to buy a PS5 just to play rocket league, warzone and battlefield 2042. It's the only 3 games I mis on this platform
Thing is. I own a beefy Gaming Rig, but am using Manjaro Linux. So Stadia and GeForce Now are my solution for incompatible games. But since I pay for both Services since their release...it starts to get ridiculous. So maybe I start to become a Console-Gamer again instead. ![]()
The Limitation here will be Adoption, havent heard much from Google on the overall current player or active player counts. Im a founder for Stadia and I love the platform, for me the best soloution here is to adopt an approach much like Ubisoft and intergrate the subscription model and allow you to play on Stadia.
The platform for Gaming as a Service (GaaS) is still pretty new, with faster speeds now in alot of homes making it realistic to stream games then we will see all the big hitters moving that way alot faster.
Would love to see BF2042 on there, but cant see it happeneing, when we see more EA games filtering into Cloud gaming Services and EA Play / Pro accessible via GaaS then we will see BF Carnage on Stadia, and I can only Image what the player counts could be running from a datacenter.
Anyway, Im not getting my hopes up on this, But Cloud gaming / GaaS is where its all going, The console is on its way out for the simple reason they can make more money from monthly subs than R&D and selling Consoles at a loss,
I personally love the streaming concept. It's fast and requires next to nothing in terms of overhead. Playing Ghost Recon on my Pixelbook is so dope. I also love taking my CCU and just being able to pocket my "console" moving it from screen to screen. That said, while there have been some major titles launch on the service, more are definitely needed to push Stadia to the next level. A major FPS shooter like BF 2042 would be a great start.
I seem to recall hearing that Google is allowing publishers access to the Stadia nuts n' bolts to build their own products, so I'm hoping to see that make it easier for development houses to get those products on Stadia as well. Aggressive promotions on titles for Pro subscribers would also help the install base grow. Once people are invested with larger libraries - they will probably be more likely to stay and spend more.
I dunno, there is so much promise, I just hope Google doesn't abandon the thing.
I totally agree. They should release important games like Call of Duty and Battlefield instead of all those ames that seem to be made only for children and to be honest they seem to be the kind of games for mobile phones, not games console/pc.
I’d be very happy with Battlefield 1 !!!
I still play the crap out of battlefield 4 on Xbox one.
I have supported Stadia from the jump because I love the mobility. But for them to not at least pick up all EA games is ridiculous. Also for them to get NBA 2k20 and 2k21 but not 2k22 is stupid ridiculous!!! They’re pushing me back to Xbox which I don’t want to do.
I heard that google stadia is gonna help developers to port games to the platform especially for triple aaa games,so please cod or battlefield atleast gta v
