Thanks, but on Steam the controller is not recognized ![]()
UPDATE: Solved!
I found this solution:

Just need to run...
sudo modprobe xpad
It's not recognized on https://html5gamepad.com/ but it works fine on Stadia
@Snakuzzo Does the controller work on https://html5gamepad.com/?
It doesn't work ![]()
Ii forgot to mention even if you get it working the home button on Xbox controller will not pull up stadia overlaying screen for options and parties. You will still need a keyboard and mouse to use it by pressing shift + tab to open and close the menu.
On Windows and macOS it works fine.
The problem is just on Ubuntu
@Snakuzzo Since it doesn't work with the HTML5 gamepad tester that indicates that this is an Ubuntu/controller issue rather than a Stadia one.
I did some searching and found this thread which discusses the need to remove the controller from Steam before it will work elsewhere:
Would that happen to apply to your situation?

Running
sudo modprobe xpadon Manjaro KDE worked for me too.
I'm using Manjaro KDE and it doesn't work for me. Which version of Chrome are you using? I'm using Chrome stable from AUR. Thank you!
I have the opposite behavior. My controller is recognized perfectly in Manjaro and on the HTML5 gamepad test site, but Stadia ignores my controller.
any update on that? I have the sames/similar problem. My xbox360 controller (cable) is recognized by my OS, Steam works fine, even streaming from my windows machine works nicely, but when I run stadia app or stadia in chromium, the controller doenst work.
in my windows pc it works just fine in chrome...
help would be much appreciated, I am new to linux, btw running pop! OS
