It looks like Xbox 360 controllers are supposed up be compatible with the mibox, but when I try to play, the left and right trigger are mapped to looking around. I have to keep them half pressed to keep from starting at the sky and spinning in circles.
Any thoughts?
Hey @Barbaaa,
Just wanted to say thank you for being a part of our community as well as thank you for your patience while we looked into the subject. After some research we did find something that will hopefully shed some light on the subject.
While some users may have found success with the setup you are trying to use, the official supported method for Xbox 360 controllers is a direct connection using a USB cable.
I'm sorry this may not be the answer you are looking for, but I hope at least it gives you a way to move forward. Again thanks for being part of the community and wish you the best of luck with your Stadia experience.
Best,
James
Hi @Barbaaa
Sorry to hear about the issue with your controller. Just to confirm, your connection is through USB? And the mibox you are speaking about is an Android TV?
Hi @MrVacca !
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, sorry, it's the Xiaomi Mi Box 3 (Android TV 9).
My controller is the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and the receiver is connected through USB.
Hi @Barbaaa,
Thanks for the info! Looks like you are doing everything right, I'm sorry this still isn't working for you. Any chance the controller is a third party Xbox 360 controller?
The controller and the receiver are originals ![]()
Hello again @Barbaaa,
The only other thing I can think of is to delete the Stadia app off your Android TV, then re-download it and hopefully it will work.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance
I've just tried that and didn't work ![]()

I'm seeing the exact same issue on my Android TV using an official xbox 360 wireless adaptor and official xbox 360 controller. (The same controller works fine for steam link)
Same here, works flawless in apps like steam link but not stadia app on my mibox3 android 9
It does work on pc just not on android
