Why is Stadia rated T in the Google Play Store?

Stadia is rated T in the play store for in app purchases and diverse content.

This causes problems with family link though.

Family link controls what child accounts can see in the play store, but Stadia has its own monitoring system.

If I set my child's account to E10 in family link, then they can't use the Stadia App. For my children to play their E10 games in Stadia I have to set their permission level in family link to T so they can even use the Stadia app.

The problem this causes is that now in google play store they can see T rated apps and games.

If all the Stadia games are rated by the ESRB already and Stadia has its own parental control system, then why is Stadia rated T?

It just makes parental controls difficult to have it needlessly rated as T.

This is a good point, definitely send feedback in the app to put this on their radar. It's a similar problem with YouTube Music as that's rated T but Google is dropping their older music app which was allowed on family link accounts.

Thinking more about this, it could be more of a family link problem that we can't (as parents) allow an app with any kind of override. The whole point of family link is to have parental controls so it seems like the parents should be able to make exceptions if necessary.
