Hi everyone,
I was browsing the February sales and noticed some games that are on sale, but I own them with stadia pro.
The concrete situation is:
I own Dead by daylight because it was a pro member and I currently have an active pro subscription, so I can play it.
The game is currently discounted and the price is 9.99€, which made me think "I could buy it now so if I cancel my pro subscription in the future I won't lose the game and won't have to buy it at full price".
Well, it turns out I cannot do such thing. This means that Pro members are not free to purchase a title they got for free with pro in order to be able to play it in the future without a pro subscription.
Is that correct? If so, why should this be this way? To force me to stay pro?
Hello @magicleon94, thank you for pointing this up, right now as you said it is not possible to purchase a redeemed game while on a Stadia Pro subscription, this is an interesting use case and I personally think that we should be able to purchase redeemed games at any time, this makes excellent feedback that should be sent also inside Stadia app, Can you please send the feedback also through the APP?
You can find the option in the settings menu, scroll to the bottom and send your feedback, this way you can make also the developers aware of this use case.
Hi there! Thanks for compiling this feedback for us. The best way to get your ideas in front of the Stadia team is to submit this as feedback within the Stadia app. To find this, open the Stadia app on your mobile device, then tap your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen. From there, navigate to the "Feedback" button below. Make sure to be as descriptive as possible. Thanks again!

Hi @HatDroid and thank you for your reply.
I've submitted the same feedback through the app, let's hope for the better!
Thanks for the feedback! going to leave the same feedback too ![]()
I guess this means I can't buy a game as a gift either? Never considered it on Stadia but I do this on Steam all the time so this thread got me wondering. At least can buy Google Play gift CARD I guess!
@Stuggernaut there's currently no option to directly gift a Stadia game. You can indeed gift a Google Play gift card if the country support it as a payment.
Make sure to send feedback to the team through the app. The more people requesting the feature, the better chance it can happen.
I remember the Playstation store had a similar thing with the Ps+ games, it has been fixed but it took them years before they did anything where you can purchase the game even after redeeming the free copy.
Hope this can get fixed soon.

Can confirm this has been fixed, although it still just shows the "PRO: play now" button in the mobile app, when viewing the game in the stadia store on a desktop computer you can purchase the game.
Are you sure you have an PRO subscription active right now? Because I have, but can't buy a game I claimed with PRO.
