Not counting internet.
If I play on my pc or phone, both using wifi and bluetooth controller. The difference in latency is pretty big. My playing performance is double on pc. As miliseconds give big advantage in many games.
But what causes this? Screen type? Bluetooth type? Wifi type? Gpu? Cpu?
So, Which phones are lower latency and why?
Anyone know?
Some phones cheap out by using the same antenna for Bluetooth and WiFi, which automatically complicates things. Some just have crappy Bluetooth and WiFi period. Then you're also looking at the decoding capabilities, and the spare processing capacity.
The answer you're looking for is "not a cheap one". For what it's worth, my old Huawei P20 Pro stuttered, but my Pixel 4a has been flawless.
Cool thanks. Makes sense. I remember using an expensive phone and the letters never got hazy when I scrolled. And the speed of response was almost instantaneous. It was three times faster looking than my 144hz monitor and smoother and sharper looking, during moving objects on display. Felt more like infinite Hz.
FOUND LOW LATENCY PHONE
Good price
____ OnePlus Nord n10 5g _____
90 hz screen for just 333 euro.
good screen size and resolution. 1080p
Best gaming latency I've experienced on a phone. for both bluetooth and usb-c, stadia.
price very good. many phones on this price have way higher latency.
Some gaming phones such as the ROG Phone show slightly lower latency as their display responds quicker - by a hair.
If you have some phones at hand, try it with the fluid simulation app and move your finger on the display. You should be able to tell a difference.
A Galaxy S10+ (as my parents still use some) responds remarkably slower than an Xperia 1ii for example.
Stadia uses two codecs for video streaming, VP9 or H264. Your phone must have the ability to decode (in hardware) at least one of them.
Look at the phone specs, see if they to have video hardware decoding. capabilities.
