Which cloudgame service replaces Stadia at best on Google TV?

I am a casual player and liked Stadia a lot. But now I'm looking for a replacement. I use my TV with a Chromecast for Google TV. Is XBox XCloud the best follow up?

I think they can get a lot of new customers when they arrange soms switch from Stadia-service. Anyone?

@sulphurtx I haven't tried it myself, but someone mention you can sideload the Xbox cloud app to Chromecast for Google TV. GeForce Now is also an option. I suggest giving them a shot and check yourself which one performs better.

Can you use the Stadia Controller for any other cloud gaming service? Or will it be garbage after January 23rd...?

@sulphurtx You can use Stadia controller with wired connection. Currently it's not possible to use the controller wirelessly with non Stadia platform, but there are currently a lot of requests for a patch. We'll just have to wait and see whether it'll happen.

The Stadia controller does work pretty well as a wired one, I used it for a few GFN sessions the other day. Since its best feature was the cloud wireless connection that is being dismantled, this seems like the best use going forward. I definitely will keep and continue to use a few like this; Founders version till it dies, white ones after that, then wasabi and black. <sad face>

I'm definitely in a similar boat; with Stadia closing and since I'm much more of a casual player, I probably will just not use much in the way of gaming services going forward. GFN does work (not nearly as well as Stadia and there are limitations depending on your needs) although I have yet to try it on Google TV. The controller side of that equation is going to be tougher for non-gamers like us to find a solid solution, in my opinion.

Yes, indeed. GFN is good, but lacks the luxury of Stadia. And it's more expensive. I'll hope for Xbox Game Pass soon to get better. I installed it (sideloaded) on my Chromecast with Google TV, but it's slow, stutting, latency is not good. It's still in Beta, but this seems to be the best Stadia-follow up in my opinion. And 13 euro a month for 300 games... Cool! It's more player friendly then GFN and Shadow.

I ordered a Xbox Controller and installed GeForce NoW on all systems! Works great until now!
