Allright, allright, allright, allright! I know there are games, I already have 111 games claimed in my account. So basically, as a full-time employee with a little baby boy of 4 months at home, I already have enough games to play and I still enjoy a lot of them. I am also really looking forward to HUMANKIND.
However, there is some stuff going on that is making me nervous a bit. I know games get delayed and I know there is a pandemic going on, so delays are not really worrying me. I don't want to complain about Google or anything. I am just wondering about a few things I noticed and was wondering what other community members are thinking (since Google never responds)
What I do find worrysome is the lack of "big games" that were coming in the past, but right now, they seem to have vanished.
Last year was pretty okay with FIFA, Star Wars, HItman, F1, NBA, a lot of UBI titles and of course Cyberpunk. All in all I'd say it was a pretty good year as their first year.
But now, 2021, it seems we do not get F12021 and NBA 2k22, which both are basically follow ups. Grid Legends was announced, but it seems that one isn't coming either...
I know we get FIFA22, but that's probably because EA and Google have had a contract for 5 EA titles from the start. But why are they not pushing more games like Ubisoft? I know they said "multiplayer is dead on Stadia", but Mass Effect doesnt need that, for instance. Is the player base on Stadia really that small that they don't even want to port that one? I mean, Mass Effect is huge...
Besides the fact we don't seem to get follow up games, why o why do we not get ANY update on games like ARK or MAFIA? Mafia for instance was announced in april 2020 and by now it seems that game is not even coming anymore...
How do you guys feel about the upcoming games and the fact "we stadians" seemed to be kept out of all the newer games, like follow-ups, Battlefield 2042, Dead Space, etc. Do you think it tells something about the size of the userbase? Or is Google just being "cheapskate" to these publishers? Or does Google just simply doesn't want these type of (AAA) games and just focus on smaller games?
From what i've read elsewhere, google paid a TON of money to EA and Ubisoft among others, this is just a case of ubisoft being all in and seeing potential in the cloud, whereas EA has done the bare minimum, since stadia isn't widely popular, and they got the full paycheck anyway.
I just put my google stuff in the trash, After playing on the new xbox im sorry but hardware gaming is way better. I wanted to like Stadia but at this point its a dead service. People will always try to say its doing good but its not i get on farcry 5 on xbox its full of people playing the games looks 100 times better but on stadia its a dead online game running at 30 fps
The crew 2, Watch Dogs Legion, AC Valhalla AAA new launches, games are coming, ARK this summer.
