Stadia players, you may already have seen the message shared on Google’s main blog. This is a short recap of the most important information for players from the main post:
As we begin the work of processing refunds to customers, Stadia customer service agents will not be able to provide more information to you at this time. For information and updates, please review the information on our Help Center, which will include new information as it becomes available. We’ll also contact players directly via email shortly with more information.
We want to thank you for taking this journey with us: in particular, the Founders and fans who have been with us from the beginning. The Stadia team poured the same passion for games into our work building and supporting Stadia as you have shown us each day in your play.
@feisalm123e2142 Well the October Pro games were dropped early, so you can claim those right now, but who knows what happens in the next 3 months. Maybe they'll still release the games if they're planned in advance, but I wouldn't hope so much one of them being Fifa 23.
Hello
after the announcement of the closing of stadia I want to get a refund for my purchased games but i can't see no options do to that. On the purchased games list there is no refund button

Q: How/When will I get my refund?
A: We are working through this process now and will keep this article updated as we define the process for each of the countries and different situations. Our intent is to have the majority of refunds processed back to the original payment by January 18, 2023.
¿podre seguir jugando despues del 18 de enero , o se pierde todo?
@unnodos You will not have access to Stadia games after the server is closed in January. You can get refunds if you purchased hardware through Google store, and also the games (just not Pro subscription). More details here

Will i still be able to play non offline games or will ALL my games be unplayable once stadia closes it doors?
Hello,
No. You will loose the access since the games run on the servers that will be powered off. However according the information from Google, the purchases of games will be refunded.
dog
Huh, bummer. Was really hoping at least some games would still be playable.
@Altraixx Well by default all Stadia games are online (since they always required online connection), so what @dogbig said was correct. More details here:

Hello! Would it be possible for you guys to activate out pro subscription to all faithful Stadians?
For the first time I put on hold my subscription because no games interested me this month/backlog on other platforms. I was planning to reactivate. I don't mind paying usual pro sub, just some games I would like to finish.
@expiredwindex The store is closed for transactions, so it's no longer possible to reactivate Pro subscription.
Usually I would recommend contacting support, but personally I wouldn't even bother at this point.
I started playing with Stadia with the free trial, and I also took the free trial of Ubisoft+, and I started to like it a lot because there was almost no LAG and everything was super good and I had response from the controls. Come on, I loved it. And now I want to know why you want to close Stadia
@Rodrigooo20 This should give you more context

Hi after learning that stadia will shut down yesterday I want to know if lets say for hitman since my io account is linked to stadia and the purchases are under stadia if I buy the game again on a different platform and sign in with the same account will my data transfer over and will I have access to the DLCs and add-on content I purchased preveously so that I dont have to buy hitman2 golden edition and 1 again?
I can't speak exactly for the game you mention, but you will want to use Google Takeout to see what save games you can export. https://takeout.google.com/
@Lukesky07 Hitman doesn't have cross save, so it may or may not be possible to transfer your progression. Someone found a way to export Stadia save into Steam, but not sure if it will work on Hitman. You're more than welcome to give it a shot

As for DLCs and add on, you will have to repurchase, along with the game.
Ok thanks for the help ,really mad that I will lose my progress and my games. Hitman was one of my favorites : (
If you've been playing Destiny 2 solely on Stadia then you'll want to setup Cross Save:
https://www.bungie.net/7/en/CrossSave
This will ensure that your Destiny 2 progress will be playable across the platforms that Destiny 2 is available on.
Your expansion packs will not carry with you, but I can speak from experience when I say that when you buy the expansion packs on other platforms, your progress will unlock.
You won't lose any progress or items, Destiny 2 will simply not allow you to access missions, bounties, etc. that require the expansion packs until you buy them. You'll still have your triumphs, seals, weapons, armour, etc.
Well that's good to hear thankyou for the advice, I hope that other game developpers will do something simmilar I think that would be amazing and very much appreciated by a lot of game owners
Google Stadia has announced that they are stopping their gamestreamingservice next year. And that they will refund all soft- and hardware purchases made in the Google store.
I just deleted my Stadia account a while ago, and now I wonder if I will get a refund for all the purchases I made.
Do we have to do anything to acquire the refund of games or will it be done automatically? Also, will we be notified when the refund is going to happen?
Nah... it's a joke!? It should or I'll kill someone if I'll loose my game saves. I bought fiber, played hundred hours... I'll kill someone!
Woah chill.
Thanks Team Stadia for the support and all you have done for the community.
Thanks to Stadia I picked the joypad again and enjoyed the pro sub for more than 2 yrs, and swapping devices or even playing when travelling overseas for work. This has hit pretty bad, still processing..Was about to buy my pixel pro for full Google integration, but as soon I see the logo I just feel bitter
Pass
Yep, this sealed the deal for me moving forward with Google on any other products or services aside from search. They can cram that watch where the Switch don't shine.
So to be clear , I will get a refund for hardware like controllers I have purchased from the Google store as well as all the games I have paid for in my stadia library
Me acaban de cobrar octubre, por qué? Si han dicho que no lo iban a cobrar?
De que día es tu periodo de renovación?, tal vez tuvieras para renovar del día 28 o así pero el cobro te haya llegado ahora.
Please please unlock this controller....
Google continues to say that they recycle and they care about the environment, but with this shutdown you are creating such mass amounts of waste. Unlock this controller please!!
What happened to do no evil?
@PDXcub I'm pretty sure you can find a recycling center nearby if you really want to get rid of the controller. Otherwise, the controller will still work on other supported platforms with cable. You will also be getting a refund.
