Stadia players, you may already have seen the message shared on Google’s main blog. This is a short recap of the most important information for players from the main post:
As we begin the work of processing refunds to customers, Stadia customer service agents will not be able to provide more information to you at this time. For information and updates, please review the information on our Help Center, which will include new information as it becomes available. We’ll also contact players directly via email shortly with more information.
We want to thank you for taking this journey with us: in particular, the Founders and fans who have been with us from the beginning. The Stadia team poured the same passion for games into our work building and supporting Stadia as you have shown us each day in your play.
@Ivan I didn't pay for it, bahaha got it on promotion... I'm more concerned on the mass amounts of trash google continues to add to this earth. The entire nest product line is extremely waist full. Now we have this ? .... Crazy![]()
@PDXcub It seems the majority of what I wrote above was somehow hidden for some reason. You can still use Stadia controller to play games on supported platforms with cable. I'll also add that the Chromecast can be used to cast other things, which was the main functionality before Stadia was launched.
If you really care about the environment, bring the hardware to your local recycling center. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to process them for you.
@PDXcub There's nothing corporate about that. I just was just expressing my opinion. We're allowed to do that right?
Would Google still refund the hardware if they unlocked it so that a small minority use it on another platform? I doubt it. It's best to just let this sleeping dog lie so that everyone is refunded the cost of the controller.
@Dano2point0 based from the info we get so far, it sounds like the only thing that matter is if you bought the game from Google store. It probably won't even matter whether if you still have the controller or not.
Since Stadia is going away will I get a refund for the games I purchased? I didn't an answer to this on the announcement board.

Remboursement de jeux stadia
Hey @Legamer,
because Stadia is closing, Google is offering refunds for all purchased games automatically. So all you need to do is wait, Google mentioned it probably takes some time, but should be done the latest in January 2023.
See here: What today’s message about Stadia means for players
Hey Google... "Enable Bluetooth connectivity on my stadia controller before the service ends in January next year"
Please. I like the controller and don't want to have to get a refund for it.
The exact thing i came here.
They will give you a refund regardless, and you get to keep the controller, but let's hope they enable Bluetooth connectivity, it's a really nice controller that I'd like to use wirelessly with my TV PC
Hello,

In regards to the Stadia Shutdown, I can get a refund for the Hardware - understood.
Can I get a refund for the games I purchased outright on Stadia too? I spent £60 on cyberpunk 2077 and it sucks that I would have spent money for DRM which I can no longer play.
Hi @LitneoSpark they will refund everything other than Pro subscription. Please take a look at the article below for more details
