Before purchasing the chromecast 4K and PS5 controller this morning I verified that they were compatible via google search. Turns out you can connect them easily but the buttons that can’t be mapped are completely jacked up.. so disappointed. I wanted to try this out but since it’s so difficult for devs to support a simple driver I guess my wait will continue.. so sad. Oh well, more time for the beach then.
Hello @troubled,
For Chromecast, sadly and as far a I know (I can be wrong) only Stadia controller will work. It is due to the fact that the Stadia Controller is used over WiFi, not over Bluetooth. PS5 & Xbox controllers are used over Bluetooth. Newest Chromecast are able to handle bluetooth but, again, as far as I know, not for controllers, only to setup it.
You can still use a PS4/PS5/Xbox controller through Bluetooth using a Google TV.
For computer :
It's sad as it cost you a huge amount, but everything was detailed here.

Just so you’re all clear… you can’t buy a Xbox one wireless, a ps4 wireless or a Nintendo switch pro wireless controller ANYWHERE!!! I just wasted $200 on controllers in the past 2 hours and NONE of the controllers work. They connect via Bluetooth but the mappings are completely off. Like select button is left bumper, right bumper is down arrow… $200 wasted!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is it so difficult for a manufacturer like Sony and Google to get the keymapping of a Sony PS5 to work properly on for example a Sony Xperia I mark II or III smartphone? Why does it take so long for someone to come up with a solution?
