I'm trying to decide whether to unlock "Wavetale" for my kids. It seems nice at first but I noticed this in the description: she's "befriended by a mysterious shadow that provides her with the power to walk on water."
Their mother has very strong religious beliefs and I have to admit this sounds iffy to me too.
I don't mind a fantasy aspect to things - superpowers or even magic. But getting them from a "shadow"? Hmm. And something that echoes one of the most celebrated miracles of Christian belief? Hmm.
Can someone just tell me what happens in the story of the game; what the deal with this shadow is? On this issue I don't mind spoilers; in fact I'm asking for them.
@RedLion I'm very reluctant to comment on this matter considering this relates to someone's religion/belief, but I did a quick search and IGN did a walkthrough of the first 17 mins of the game. Perhaps you can watch it and then decide if this is something suitable for your kids?
Thanks but after 18 minutes I learned basically nothing. It's a shadow, it enables her to walk on water. It looks like it might be a downward reflection of her.
But what IS it? Is it like an evil spirit tempting her? Can you just tell me?
@RedLion I haven't played the game yet, and none of the reviews I've read explains exactly what it is. Hopefully someone that already finished the game, or at least got to the part where they can give you an answer, can chime in.
Hi @RedLion
I have a few hours in the game.
And no the shadow has nothing to do with evil. It helps the main character to clear the fog and clouds by powering up light houses. ![]()
