Unable to play claimed games

Hi there, I'm a stadia pro subscriber and I'm able to play claimed games. The error I receive is: game not available. You might be in a country where the game publisher has restricted availability.

Google looked into it and it got resolved! I can play again, how is it for everyone else here?

Best suggestion is to contact Google Stadia support directly and have them look into it... It's probably not something us end-users can resolve with anything we can do.

Sounds for me already as if you, @Brye, are in an unsupported country and try with VPN to play Stadia. This might go well sometimes, but can also result in errors like you see.

Stadia is currently only supported in the countries listed in this article.  Some more information around it you can also find there.

So if that's the case that might be why you're unable to play claimed games. You either need to move into a supported country then or you need to wait until it's getting available in your country. You can of course always leave feedback for the developers in which country you would like to see Stadia to make them aware (tap your profile picture in the top right corner in the Stadia App or on stadia.google.com and select "feedback").

Same thing is happening for me today. Just started it up and got this message this morning. Everything was working fine yesterday. I've been Pro for months, I'm not using VPN, and I'm also in Toronto. My ISP is Bell Fibe, for your information.

I'm not able to play any games that i've either claimed from Pro, or that I've purchased outright. Nothing. They all come back with the same error, after a message at the bottom of the load screen for the game that has a spinning circle and the message "Checking Connection".

I haven't made any changes to my payment info or anything else, it all says Canada. The only modification was recently was that I invited a family member to be part of my family group, in anticipation of Stadia's rollout of family sharing.

UPDATE: If i use my phone's mobile data Stadia works. Using my home internet doesn't work.

Hey! I know this post is a few years old but i’m in the UK and the same thing has been happening to my stadia for the last 5 days on EVERY game, purchased and pro? Please can someone help?

If both of you are using the same ISP, then this is some nonsense  Seems like something Google should be able to contact the ISP and get things resolved, if its affecting everyone on that ISP.
