Ubisoft shutting down support for older games

Jump to Best Response

How is this going to impact Stadia purchases or Ubisoft + games?!

Hi @Chiram

As far as I understand the games that are being shutdown are the original versions of the game.

So I don't think the games on Stadia are impacted. 🧐

I think the only real question is about whether "Assassin's Creed Liberation HD" will be impacted on Stadia or not. If I recall correctly, PC owners will still be able to play the base game, but online features and DLC will not be available. I'm not sure console owners will still be able to play it at all. Right now, that game is not available for purchase in the Stadia store, but says it's available through Ubisoft+. I don't remember whether this game was ever for sale on Stadia. If it was only ever available through Ubisoft+, then I expect it will not be available on Stadia once it stops being available through Ubisoft+. However, if it was available for purchase on Stadia, and someone bought it, then it will be interesting to see whether it is still playable in the future.

Why not Zoidberg?
