Ubisoft+ on Stadia - but just the US (,shurley, some mistake) - Discuss

Not sure of the logic on this - would be good to understand.

(I get Ubisoft+ on Luna+ in US only - since Luna+ is ONLY available in US).

But why only US on Stadia? Seems counter to everything Stadia has done to date (in terms of rolling out across all Stadia territories).

I hate unsolved questions. or where logic seems to have gone awol. Is there a bit of info I'm missing (commercial/legal restriction, perhaps?)

Thoughts?

I'm guessing that it's either a small launch to test things out first, with fast follow of other countries, or something related to taxation/game ratings.  I'd be shocked if it stayed US only for long.

depends on whether you like Ubisoft games?  I think it's something along the lines of $15/mo, and you can play from a list of Stadia supported games at no additional cost.  (Don't even need Stadia Pro).

Games available: Fenyx, Watch Dogs Legion, Assassins creed, etc...

If you want to play those games, the cost may be cheaper if you sub, and cancel when you've played your fill

Well first and foremost, I'm guessing Google dosn't decide what countries it's available in, that's up to Ubisoft. As an example, this is from their website...https://support.ubisoft.com/en-US/Article/000064115/Country-and-region-availability-for-UPLAY

Secondly, you saying the logic is gone awol is nonsense. God works in mysterious ways. In this case, they're most likely using the US as a solid testing market since it's a high population area with spending money, good marketing interest, and generally good internet speeds. They need to work the kinks out of their infrastructure before they can send it to more densely populated countries with potentially limited bandwidth. Also, things like copyright and trademark laws come into play as well as governmental regulations. So anyways, just because you don't get why they're doing it doesn't mean there's no reason for it. I'm sure if they could snap their fingers and sell their content worldwide and make a billion dollars they would.
