To option to connect Uplay purchase to Stadia

I was trying to link my Uplay and Stadia accounts. I've gone through the instructions at Uplay, but I have no option via stadia to log in. When I pull up AC Odyssey my only option is to purchase it via Stadia. Am I missing something?

The Odyssey needs to be purchased on Stadia. The other game license needs to be played thru what I am guessing is your PC. Stadia is not a transfer of license system. It provides its own licensing.

Indeed it is as Cackle mentioned, if you want to play AC Odyssey on Stadia, you need to purchase it on this platform.

Just linking your accounts doesn't solve this issue. I don't know how exactly the linking for Ubisoft works, but it might be if you have extras that you might have them then on Stadia when purchasing the base version?

Yeah, and as far as using your saved games and all that is very possible, however all these features are responsibility of the developer of the title.

For example, Destiny 2 has cross play, so same characters can used, but you have to purchase the game here... "or in Destiny's case have Pro membership".

In a game like AC: Odyssey, there might be an import option, I have not tried it, but I do know, that all your Stadia data can be accessed thru Google Takeout, from saved games, to achievements, etc, and maybe that's the angle of approach required to do so here.

Keep in mind some developers might not allow this as it opens up an angle for cheating... Completely up to them ,but again all this is possible on Stadia and very supported
