Third party accounts

When required to create an account through a third party, are u required to use the email linked with ur Stadia account or can u use a different one? And can this be different for one developer vs another? Ubisoft's explanation is vague when stating differences between services! Just don't want to buy a game and then find out that it defaults to Stadia email with no option. Thanks

@TuputtShakur it really depends on how the 3rd party is implementing the account association. The way it usually works is that the 3rd party will have their own portal, where you can link through Stadia. When you link it, it will ask you to log in to Stadia, which obviously requires you to authenticate using your Stadia credentials. The email you used to create the 3rd party account can be different.

Hi @TuputtShakur,

If I remember correctly the first time I started a Ubisoft game it allowed me to login with my old account.
This account has a different email that I am using for Stadia.

So I am pretty sure you can use a other email for Ubisoft games. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

ps. just checked, yes my Ubisoft account has a different email address.
When I first started FIFA I also was able to login within my existing EA account, not the same email address.
Just be sure to use the correct Ubisoft or EA account because unlicking seems to be something different than linking.

Also check my EA account. It also has a different email from EA than I use on Stadia and it is linked and working like charm. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

  • First, ty for the quick response! Without trying to over dissect ur response, I just want to NOT give my associated Stadia email to 3rd party games! (Here's lookin @ u EA) Feels like ur sayin that it can be set up separately, but as I was saying in the initial post, it also seems like it's left to the discretion of the developer! As u said "it depends on the 3rd party implementation". Not to be redundant, but, if I'm understanding u correctly, with some games I may not have a choice but to use the associated Stadia email? If this is true, then I guess my only option is to change the associated email? And that I believe can be done seeing that I have more than one gmail.

Thanks again to all responders!
