Third Party Controller issue

Jump to Best Response

Hello. I'm having trouble with my third party controller that I was wondering if anyone has encountered. When I try to run in games that require you to press down on the left analog stick (LS) it brings up the in game menu instead. Is there a way to correct this or is it a common issue?

Just went through this also, purchased multiple controllers and settled on a xbox series controller. Let's just say in this case you really can't get by with anything OTHER than officially supported controllers. You may get lucky, but I have had issues with multiple powera controllers, switch pro controller, wired, wireless doesn't matter.

Hello @JenerossiTea,

By "game menu", you mean the Stadia sidebar that appear normally when you press the Stadia built-in button on the official controller ? Or Shift+Tab with a keyboard ?

No I actually mean the pause menu in the actual game. Example: I bought Far Cry 5 and around the start of the game it wants you to escape and run by pressing down on the left analog stick. But instead of running it brings up the pause menu instead.

Ok, I understand.

As I also possess Far Cry 5 I did check in the option if there is something to do. I think you aleady did but we never know. Sadly, there isn't, here.

This means it's the input sended by your controller directly. The only solution is to re-map this button. Do you have a software to edit your inputs ? If not, you can still try with XOutput (freeware), only re-map this button and try again.

Keep us in touch !
