The price of some games is so high that I just decided to cancel my preorder....

Some games are way cheaper on Amazon than on Stadia.

Who in Google thinks that an Stadia user who also happens to own a console will buy the Stadia game under those circumstances??? Where is the common sense the guys in the A.M.A mentioned when talking about game pricing???

Yes I know... with Stadia you can play everywhere yadda, yadda, yadda, but you can't play offline... so having the game in Stadia vs PS4/XBOX has some pros but also some cons.

Then if we also consider that games bought in amazon can be resold once you get bored I can't avoid to wonder what was Google thinking when pricing Grid and Read Dead Redemption 2?

I feel the same way @Felix . As  for now, I'm holding off on games that I can get cheaper on PC/PS4. Hopefully they will be discounted sometime in the future.

i might pick up Tomb Raider 2013 for $10 though, as that sounds pretty reasonable. And of course there's Destiny 2 (my main game) and Samurai Showdown you get with the Pro membership. Perhaps you can try those first?

Stadia Guides are not employed by Google. Opinions are my own.

Nah man I don't want to keep waste the Stadia Pro subscription just because they'll give me for free some guys that I wouldn't play for longer than 1 hour.

I might get an Stadia next year if they make a proper discount to any of the games I'm interested in. Otherwise I'll stay out of it.... I wanted to try the service but I consider those prices a rip off... so another time

That's reasonable. I'm not in a position of wanting to play any of the launch pro games. The only one I'm interested in playing is RDR2. I'm not paying full price for it when I can go to another store and get it cheaper. I play on PC primarily. My interest in Stadia is as a long term solution to upgrade-itis. And while I'm still getting 60fps on Star citizen with my seven year old PC, I'm not about to re-buy my library.

I agree.  Maybe they should look at other types of games because traditional $60 AAA games made entirely with consoles in mind throughout their development isn't the best type of choice for this new service. If there was some free to play or cheap indie games that used the exclusive features of the platform, I'd be interested.

I'm most disappointed that there are so FEW games to play as Founders. Unless you want to shell out a bunch of extra money, there are only TWO games that Founders can play for free, and that fighting game sucks.

I understand what you mean but you should give google some time. Google will compete with all competitors to survive in the market. Personally, I am waiting for the Black Friday offers and give the whole project much more time

Can someone of you share a screen about the games pricing? I am still waiting for my founder's edition and the access-code, so I can't even have a look.

Was interested in Mortal Kombat 11 though, so if anyone could share the prices that would be cool!

Thank you for the list @bare !

Unfortunately these are really bad prices compared to other games shops, amazon, Steam, etc.

Just had a look for Mortal Combat for example. Okay as a Stadia Pro I would get it for 62 €, but on Amazon the PC version is just 89,99 € for the Premium edition (guess the one on Stadia is just the normal game), 39,99 € for PS4 version and 45,00 € for XboX version. On Steam you get a MK 11 key even cheaper.

I don't know...these game prices doesn't sound really like a good deal for Stadia.

I also think Google is being deceptive within the Stadia store when they list the "release date" of each game. They are using the date the game launched on Stadia, rather than when that particular game actually released into the marketplace.

The price for the steam version was up for days - they know for fact that there would be an issue with it, I want STADIA to be for the users, I want  them to be competitive with steam I can careless about the other consoles because if you compete with STEAM you're already ahead of the other console ecosystems. That is just my opinion why do they have to follow the same mold? why can't this billion dollar company  work it's magic? EPIC which doesn't have half the budget as stadia swings it's e-stick around purchasing all these exclusives and doing all these discounts yet here we're paying so much more. I don't want a console ECOSYSTEM i want cloud to be a trend setter in pricing/discounts.

I agree. It is disappointing that a game like "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" costs twice as much in Stadia as in physical format for PS4.

I will wait a couple of months to see if the prices of the games go down at a reasonable price, (in my opinion it must be a price that does not exceed 30 dollars), if not, I will cancel my subscription.

Agreed I can literally get Shadows of the Tomb Raider for like 5 dollars on Steam. Not ever gonna pay 60 for it on Stadia.

Agree. I have rage 2 through my Xbox game pass as well. I won't pay pay for it in stadia

Haven’t bought a single game on Stadia just because of the height prices on older games. I have a PS4 Pro and Xbox One X and all games on Stadia is so much cheaper on those platforms and I have a lot more functionality on PS4 and Xbox then on stadia. I play Destiny 2 on Stadia and enjoy it very much but until Google start to match prices on the games on Stadia or new games come to Stadia at the same time as the other platforms, I will not buy games on Stadia.

One more dumb post complaining about a non issue. Oh everything is more expensive? Every game that costs more here than elsewhere has basically all the bonus content included.

Also games like RDR2 cost just as much here as on Steam. Because when a game launches on a new platform developers usually charge a premium for them.

Furthermore who cares about game cost when you're talking about a platform that is essentially free? I will pay 10$ more for a game on Stadia for not having to spend 400$ on a console with a limited hard drive.

And if you don't want to pay 10$ a month for pro then don't. You can still play online with your friends. Can you do that on Xbox or PS4? Oh wait, you can't.

I'm not here to convince you to stay, I'd prefer people don't clog up the forum with stupid whiny posts like this that have no merrit.

@Dinn I disagree with you and I also agree with you, lol. I don't think it's right to say the OP has no merit. The game prices are high here. Darksiders costs about $10 less on almost every PC gaming site for example. And we're not getting more content here for the same versions. A lot of people agree that the prices COULD be better.

But here's where I agree with you... So what if the prices are high? That's enough to cancel? Not me. If they're going to give us one or 2 games a month to play free then that is enough to basically pay us back the $9.99 monthly fee. Even if it's not always a top game it's going to be enough to make up for what we pay, especially if it's going to be 2 games, but even if it's just one.

I've complained about the prices myself. But cancelling is going a bit far. If the prices are too high don't buy the games. Nobody's forced to. So even though I think the OP has merit, I also think you're right. Nobody wants to hear people complaining that they're going to cancel our quit when the rest of us are hoping that this service gets better and grows into something competitive that we can enjoy for a long time coming.
