Because the game is terrible, it was on my list to buy after playing the redux games last year which were a joy, this just feels rigid and slow and mechanically bad, glad I don't have to purchase it now ![]()
How's everyone else finding it?
Been playing it for like 2-3 hours but will probably not continuing playing it. It’s not a game for me. I find it boring and the game play feels like a game from 4 years ago.
Yes I agree, will probably continue playing it regardless just to see how Artium or whatever you call him story unfolds, definitely feels old though.
Lol. I haven't played it yet, but a bunch of people have been telling me how great it is!
It might just be one of those games that suit a certain taste, because I haven't heard anyone say "it's an ok game, kinda fun". All I heard was how great it was, and now you guys saying how bad it is!
In terms of visuals, atmosphere and story it is great, in terms of controlling character and navigating world it is really poor, the highest sensitivity for example still takes a good bit of time to turn 180 like it's slow setting on any other game, your walk speed is also painfully slow and walking through mud things even slower to the point you need to make sure your pressing the joystick.
Give it a try though, get through to the open world area do your thing then let us know what you think.
I like it alot. The visuals, the gunplay everything feels great on it. The only thing i dislike about it, is the fact that the game won't actually let you play the way you would like it to play.. at least for me and i've experienced this the hard way.(first time on xbox month ago) And with that i mean your gameplay is heavely affecting your ending (no spoilers here, so i won't continue this) But just telling new players, be careful how you play this game! ![]()
Lame thread honestly. It's tense, thrilling, atmospheric game, definitely not for everyone but the game isn't bad by any mean.
@Nilas if you like a good movie then this game will suit you, I like to control my character properly though and this game on controller doesn't work, had a Google search and it's same complaints as mine, maybe keyboard and mouse is better but my God it's the worst controller character movement about, bad as it gets.
If anyone else struggling with sluggish controls this guy's got a bit of a fix for slight improvement:
@ARGAH : Hey, thanks for the link, really good to know. I tried spinning Metro up a couple of times today before other stuff interrupted mre, and I was wondering what was going on with the sluggish controls. Although my main issue today was just lots and lots of lag, to the point where I just gave up on it today.
My initial thought was that it was Stadia infrastructure playing up, but actually my home router was probably the cause, should have been 530 dl/35 ul but for some unknown reason it was stuck at about 200 dl. But I was getting a lot of packet loss, so a reboot of the home router corrected my internet speeds and Metro has been a lot more playable, but still getting a bit of lag/stuttering and I'm seeing a higher than usual amount of packet loss still on the Stadia feed, so I'll revisit Metro in a day or 2 and see what the deal is.
I still haven't played yet, but thanks for the link @ARGAH ! I'll definitely try that out when I finally give the game a try.
I love almost everything with it, BUT controller input is horrible. I always aim like totally drunk. I don't find satisfying options for sensivity.
Played it on the winter holidays on a notebook with keys/mouse, over rather bad WiFi plus VPN, but controls were fine.
Playing with controller even with <10ms latency is pain.
As connection is great and other games work fine, I think it's simply bad bad implementation.
@VeniVidiFailed try control preset 2, seems to take away the deadzones that make the game feel unresponsive and it actually feels like a kinda decent shooter.
