Streaming on OBS

Hi. I’ve got a copyright warning when trying to stream through OBS. The setup is chomecast ultra, dell laptop and using an avermedia gc311. Any plans on updates to allow streaming? Thanks

weird why did you get a copyright warning ? Were you live streaming? I recorded some footage with OBS with the chrome browser and didn't get any sort of copyright warning

Yes I was live streaming, or should I say attempting to live stream. I think it’s cos I was using a capture card but still should work. All other consoles allow streaming.

@GraceFromGoogle Can you shed any light on the issues I’ve faced?

Maybe a little more info. What game were you playing, and what was the claim for specifically?

For example, some games use licensed songs that frequently get claims placed against them when uploaded to youtube. Fallout 76's use of Take Me Home Country Road as an example.

Hi. It’s happening as soon as I connect the stadia to my avermedia gc311. The image isn’t the best but have a look. It’s a copy protected content hdcp pop up.

So this is a pop up message from AVERMEDIA? you might want to contact them and see why that is happening.

but it would be good if grace looked into it as well.

The popup is on the streaming feed. It doesn’t matter which software I try to use. The issue is either google or avermedia. Most likely google to stop streaming films and tv shows etc to other people.

Oh ok, that's I believe a chromecast requirement not explicitly stadia. At least I've seen that be an item raised on some dev forums in the past. There used to be components that can be acquired that allow you to put something inline to bork that up, but I have no guidance there.

Considering your capture device only supports:

1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576p, 480p, 480i

Might it just be easier to do a full screen cap of a browser session rather than the chromecast output?

Just spoken to customer support. They don’t support streaming yet and that’s why it’s wouldn’t allow the connection. I think capturing a browser session may be easier at the moment! I’ll try in a bit.
