Stop Crying... just go!

I keep seeing more and more people complaining... there's not enough games๐Ÿ˜ฉ, there's not enough sales๐Ÿ˜ฉ, I bought a game and now it's a Pro game ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ, blah, blah, blah...

I get the whole thing about being dissatisfied. I just don't get the crying about it. If you're unhappy.... then leave? Quietly? lol
Nobody wants to say it, or at least nobody who is trying to get some community status wants to say it, but the truth is no one cares if you don't like the platform. People who paid attention knew what to expect JUST A LITTLE MORE THAN 2 MONTHS into a PARTIAL LAUNCH! If you didn't know, you didn't pay attention. And if you did know, stop complaining.

Google's making more deals with other companies, they promise 120 games this year, a lot of the features will come eventually. No one's making you wait. If you're unhappy cancel before you pay any monthly fees and come back later if Google keeps its promises and the service looks a lot better. If they don't keep their promises and the service is crappy or it fails, then you'll be happy that you quit when you did before you wasted any money.

Just stop complaining... the only people reading your complaints are the other community users. The mods here don't have the power to change your Stadia experience, they can only change your forum experience! Go... quit... write letters to Google's main office telling them how bad the service is, but spare the rest of us your crying on your way out.๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ‘‹

@Xevioso I made a rant/post about this as well (it was a response to a comment though) not word for word what you said but pretty much the same thing and I agree. Stadia is amazing I'm a proud founder I "own" tomb raider 1 (happily) even though they made it free. I really don't get why so many are crying but I guess you can't satisfy everyone right? I didn't want to come off mean either I was just trying to be real, like it'd true no one wants to hear it, leave, in peace, n wait for public release and hopefully by then it's the way you want it kinda thing. 

I know I'm a proud founder and I'm still happy Everytime I hop on stadia, it works for me. It does what I wanted it to do and I know it will only get better.

@Sho  - Random unrelated question... did you ever get them to fix your name being searched? I still can't find you when I do a search in the app!

@Xevioso it's just something that happens with some founder names they said it will be fixed and patched soon. They also said a work around is by adding the number 0 so you would type "Sho#0" (no quotes) they told me "founders" tech have the zero after their names it just doesn't show (the badge shows) but you could try that in the search bar. I have yet to test or confirm this, as I was able to test the original issue out, as I don't have my buddy passes phone with me to test it out on another users name to see what they are when they search for me. For now I've just been adding people. Fuq it lol ๐Ÿ˜›

@Sho  Lol! So check it out. I tried adding the #0, I tried Sho#0 and Sho #0 and you still didn't come up. Then when I erased the #0 you came up right at the top of the list. I have no idea why!!! Unless you sent me a friend request while I was doing it! Anyway, I was able to find you and tried to add you.

@Xevioso yah my name is "special" I'm like an "exclusive" founder founder (joke, not in anyway, n I have no idea why my name does what it does) that my name can't even show up, you gotta do all this special stuff to make it appear, I did not send u a friend request, at least not during this message, I am now trying to add you because I didn't notice any friend request on my end when I just hopped on the stadia app.

No. I will complain loudly and continuously because I paid 130 euros for a beta. We were indeed expecting that everything wouldn't be ready at launch but things would have been fixed within the 3 months of free sub before they start to charge, but it will not be fixed. I am wondering why they launched this in November when nothing was ready nor planned to be fixed in the early weeks . This is a total disrespect to first buyers.

@Nilas Honestly this isn't even directed at guys like you (although I disagree with what you said here). It's fine to complain if that's not ALL you do. And also I'm sick of the people who keep threatening to leave and never leave! And people are just getting ridiculous now. People are posting to ask if they should cancel, to say they are going to cancel, even to claim that they HAVE canceled... then GO AWAY! Get off the forum! 

And I actually think this is solid advice I'm giving to people who truly are unhappy, for 2 reasons. First, if they are truly unhappy, if the go ahead and cancel, they won't lose any money, because everybody is suddenly very concerned about having to pay the upcoming monthly subscription. So cancel if you hate it, come back later if it's better, and stay away if it's not. Then you won't lose anything. Second, and even more important, your complaints don't mean anything to Google. There's like 3 mods MAX on this forum, and they have no power to do anything. They barely even talk to us, lol! But guess what Google WOULD care about? They would care if people actually started canceling subscriptions! That's an actual loss of users and money! 

Where I think you're wrong in your post here is when you said

Who is we? I didn't expect that. I expected to get hardware, buddy passes, a nice name with the founder's badge next to it, and 3 free months of service. Not only did I get that, I also got 6 games free with 2 more coming this weekend!
Google never said Stadia would all be up and working before they started charging people. They haven't even released an official date yet when the platform is going to open up to everyone. If they thought everything was going to be up and running in 3 months they would have said that much at least. That was YOUR expectation, it's not something Google ever claimed. But still, I've seen you post positive stuff too, and I don't think I've seen you threatening to cancel. This is specifically aimed to those people who come on threatening to cancel and claiming nothing works, and there's not enough games, and they don't want to pay... they should just GO AWAY. It will be better for everyone.

have you thought that if we are complaining it is because we like stadia and we want to stay, but google doesn't give us any excuse

To begin with, when I bought it (by the way, I'm a founder) I didn't see anywhere that this was a beta. I bought it ppr that I was really interested in games that could only come out in the cloud ... but there is not an example of things you can do in the cloud and not on a PC (more orcs? more coxhes in one career often joke)

So, in truth, this gives me doubts about its legality. "You heathen you can play that this is what stadia does" and there is nothing ... you say that this is ok? charge for half of the promised service?

that's another one, they announced a few exit games, people complained and they took out a few more ... that was all they had prepared ?? That were his forecasts?

I mean, we have a platform with no games, no promised functions and no ads in the future ... was it really ready to go?
we don't deserve to know anything ?? is this what we can expect from google ?? .... but yes, paying from now (we pay full price for half the service)

I am going to tell you something, if the studios do not see interest, they do not take games, if there are no stadia players there will be no games ... I do not know if you know wiiu or psvita, ouya, the vr ... Google really did not expect anything from this??

and don't misunderstand me, I don't complain about grace or Chris, they do what they can with what they have, but I feel very disappointed with what it could be and what it is. and I blame alphabet and google

but if all this is fine for you, after **bleep**ing mother, enjoy while you can


but if I don't know how pending you go on the news, but last January 8 they hired their first designer for the first stadia studio XDDDD to the first XDD so maybe their first game comes out within 4 or 5 if They want to do it well and without haste. XD

@Xevioso All I can say is preach! I agree it gets really frustrating seeing the Stadia hate constantly. No one is forcing you to be here.

All game forums have been ruined with negativity nowadays, OG forums there was friendships now it's just people jumping in complaining, people that can't be bothered pretty much dropped using forums and left them to die with the negativity that gets a pat on the back from other negative people.

@Xevioso indeed Iโ€™m not threatening to cancel, but I often talk about people who will cancel since it worries me a lot. I love stadia and I would like it to live long but Google needs to do something to convince people to support them. It makes me furious to see them silent, either because itโ€™s part of their disastrous strategy or because they are unable to tell because everything is planned far long, which is even worse because that means this company is unable to manage a satisfying launch.  Google gives so many reasons to not trust in them, itโ€™s legit deserved to see people frustrated and complaining.

All that said, I am loving the current service and I canโ€™t wait for it to be completely featured and approved by publishers. 

You canโ€™t blame people for having expectations. We are talking about Google. Itโ€™s incredibly tragic to see a company of this importance being so badly prepared to launch a service.

But on a serious note if Google actually had a working Stadia PR/marketing department in place, i think it would have been a lot less crying. (This launch reminds me of bad project management from the marketing team and or most of the new MMO launches ).

The word half-assed comes to mind....

Sure Stadia do have a lot of potential and it will be very interesting on seeing if Google will be able to promote it in the upcoming weeks.

But if it will be 20+ more days of complete silence without any movement and or updates i actually do think a lot will ... just go ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Nightcrow I get the complaints about bad communication. It's legit. But people are just complaining about everything now. And I think like I said to @Nilas ... I seriously think all these people complaining to the point where they are threatening to cancel should REALLY cancel if they hate it that much. 

If they start canceling their subscriptions, it will work out best for all of us. They won't waste any money, Google WILL actually pay attention to falling subscriber numbers, and they will work to improve the service for those of us who are still here when the others leave. And then those people can come back whenever it looks good enough to them. I just don't need to hear them complaining if they're serious about canceling. The problem, is that they haven't and probably WON'T cancel! They're just going to hang around complaining. 

And for God Sake! If I see ONE MORE of the following, I might get banned from the forum for my response

1) Idiot posts that he wants refund for a game he bought AT LAUNCH that is now a Pro title ๐Ÿ™„. DON'T BUY GAMES THEN! Sit around for months hoping the game you want to play will be released as a pro title.

2) Idiot that posts one week before the new pro games are launched that he is "scared" or "Afraid" to buy a game he wants because it might be released in a few days ๐Ÿ˜ . JUST WAIT A FEW DAYS THEN!!!

I was able to laugh at those posts... for a while... now i'm like... Are these people just stupid?๐Ÿค”

It's just getting out of hand. And in the meantime, legitimate complaints about gameplay issues and other stuff gets buried.

But will actually be interesting what will happen in a month time when most pro account runs out, will Google swim or sink. 

Personally I have hope,:) 

But as a person working in digital sales / marketing and project management i actually have my doubts ๐Ÿ™‚

Google has almost limitless funds. Stadia will be a success if they want it to, and personally I think they want it to. Iโ€™ve also loved every part of the stadia experience so far...

 

@Xevioso your string of posts here are the best. Spelling out exactly what Iโ€™ve been thinking, particularly with complaints about games becoming pro and people โ€˜scaredโ€™ to buy at month end. Laughing reading your posts...spot on!

Also that question was less about the game perse, more about that i wanted to know something about the refund policy. But its answered now so its fine, but thanks all mighty master i will "WAIT A FEW DAYS THEN!!!" ๐Ÿ˜™ Or maybe im so "stupid" that i get amnesia by the end of feb and ask the same question again.. Anyway im enjoying stadia aswell, the technology behind it is awsome and i used every cloud service before. Shadow, GFN, Parsec, xcloud but every one of them can't compete with stadia in many sections. This should not be up to the developers at all! Google made contracts, developers must develop with that contract in mind and google should announce those upcoming games. Even if theres a massive delay of the releases, that doesn't matter as long as people have some kind of a roadmap for games. But pushing the responsability to the game developers to have "mercy" to even develop for stadia is a complete desaster. After reading that interview, Im honest by saying that I hope we'll see at least ONE of those 110-120 Games after doom eternal and those 10 exclusives coming to stadia in 2020. I would really not want that ship to sink becuase i think the technologhy behind it is absolutely future proof, but these things are driving people crazy here and im about to understand them, fully.

@ChronosP Sometimes I can be a jerk, what can I say? I don't think I'm the only one. As I mentioned on another thread, I'm working to be a better person, ,lol. Some of this stuff is annoying to me and I am not afraid to say so, even if somebody gets offended. If you have a question about a refund policy, then ask a question about a refund policy without all the extra stuff. The refund policy I can assure you does not include anything about buying a game that's later released as Pro. There's stuff in there about how long ago you bought the game and how many hours you've played I think. 

The people who got refunded during the first week got refunded because they released new pro games literally DAYS after the service came live. People who went on to buy games after that and expect subsequent refund shouldn't... it's silly. You have the full context. You know the pattern by now, you know how many games there are in the library, and you know when new Pro games are released. If you like a game, take the risk. If you don't want to take the risk, then don't. That's super simple, and that's kinda why I am being a jerk about it. 

In defense of others, I will say, I don't know anyone's financial situation. Maybe people saved up the money for a game and then realized they could've saved it for something else when it suddenly was released as a Pro game. I can respect that. But this is the way it works on every platform. Games you buy might get released as a free game later on. And with a library as SMALL as Stadia's library, you almost have to expect that something you bought is going to go Pro unless it was a fairly new (like MK11) or really expensive (like AC Odyssey) title. And if the library doesn't grow soon, even something like AC Odyssey might get released as a Pro Title soon. It's gonna happen.

So I'm not trying to be anybody's "Master" I'm just a jerk who sees a pretty simple formula in front of me, and it annoys me that people keep complaining about stuff that is totally obvious based on what's in front of us.

Posts telling people to โ€œStop Crying... just go!โ€ are even more annoying. You few Stadia fanboys have to accept that not all (most) customers arenโ€™t happy with Googles lack of communication and delivery of the platform so far. Sure, it might get good but right now it sucks and that is not something Google said when they promoted Founders Editition and we gave Google our money. But you have the right to take a Google pill every morning and pretend Stadia is doing great as much as the rest of us are disappointed so far. If you donโ€™t wanna see negative or whining posts about Stadia, stay away from the forum. Itโ€™s as easy as that. Letโ€™s hope Google gets their sh*t together sooner then later. I would like to not have to invest in next generation PS and Xbox. My hopes are that Google goes all in at E3.

I think people who are unhappy make more noise whereas this who are content are just busy enjoying themselves, so I don't believe most people are unsatisfied. However I do agree that Google trends to concentrate far more on the core technology and less on the frilly customer care. There needs to be a balance, people want a total experience as they want a system they can love, you need the technology and you need the care and the sense of community, come in Google employ someone who can handle that side!
