Well, i just though i hop into this game and just play a bit on the run, but.. surprise surprise i couldn't quit it yesterday.
Theres something very addicting about this game. While at combat, it also reminds me of an old game i used to play as a kid called "Legend of the dragoon" (playstation) Mostly all the elemental stuff, debuffs and buffs going on are absolutely similar to that game. And thats a good thing because at that time LOTD was in my eyes way better than FF7 but psss!..
FF7 Fanboys would probably kill me for that opinion!
The soundtrack is excellent and fitting every location, the dialogues are funny and the world even that its so minimalistic seems pretty well shaped.
Call me stupid, but this game catched me way more than grid did actually! ![]()
Would love to see a sequel at some time, although i haven't finished the game yet.
Dig 2 is fine too, but not near as good as this game tbh.
I can just suggest everyone to give this game a try, especially if your expactations are low you will probably be surpirsed from it.
Yeah surprised me too, really enjoying the simplistic nature and combat.
Nice! Looking forward to playing this one Love me JRPG. : )
Yes so gooooood
Glad there are others out there at least enjoying these free pro games this month.i gave all three of them a try as well but sadly all 3 will just be dust collectors again, like thumper and farming sim lol thought grid would at least be good because it's a 60$ game but nope. Both dig games just aren't for me and way to boring imo prob let my daughter play them just so they actually get played. And grid is currently running atm (while typing this comment)a I'm just laughing at it not even playing it because of just how bad it is. Game just throws u into the career and not just the first time u boot it up, Everytime. So Everytime I have to push start and escape (that's after I always have to watch the cutscenes) just to get to the main menu just to play multiplayer. Like wtf what kind of game does that lol. Just let me play. Or what I have to go through some tutorial crap (the stuff it keeps trying to throw.me into right when the game starts) just to be taken to the main menu when I boot up the game? So that's just crap game should boot u to the main menu period. The game itself ehhh if u like skill less arcade racers I can see where people are having a blast in this game. I feel these 3 titles will be used by my daughter more than anything, if anything.
All I can say is I'm happy for at least 2morrow serious Sam collection comes out and I'm happy to pay for that. Beats all 3 of these free games by landslides.
@Sho Once more players join Grid as a "pro free " incentive... IMO will only become that much more competitive and fun... I suggest that you at least play through the into to skip the opening cut scenes... ![]()
@JussinCase i did. I think a lot of people who are reading that post aren't getting the point, that it's why are u forced to do those three pointless races. THEN u get to do whatever u want.
That alone irritated me but put that aside, n talk just about pvp (because that's all I did so far and all that appeals to me anyways) it still felt very arcade-ish to me, so unless there are options to make it feel more authentic and like sim/realistic car racing. I'm just not into arcade style racers. Nothing again wrong with them, I just prefer the feel of a more realistic/sim racer. Rather than one where u can glide all over the place like ur car is always on ice and u can rewind when u crash. Sure fun. Just not for me.
So I did try the actual game out and pvp aspect of that as well, still just not for me. My daughter may play these games, if not aye it is what it is.
That's why just wanted to share my two cents and just glad others are finding the value/enjoyment in these 3. My "3" games for March will come out 2morrow and no they won't be free but I at least know personally for me. They are better than all 3 of the free games we got this month. Just one more day......hopefully
Good thing is grid is seemless after the intro thing, moving from race to race in quick time with nice transitions and not forced to do anything after start, do what you want basically.
@Sho if you play through the intro once then every time after that it will take you directly to the main menu.
@Matt1 thanks! I did figure that out though (why I was saying, I have to play through your "tutorial" crap just to be able to get to the main menu) just was weird. Usually even if a game has something like that, when u skip it the first time, it USUALLY never happens again. This game is just like nah you HAVE to play these three races (and trust me your position means NOTHING lol they are literally like just tutorial races that mean nothing but u are forced to do just to get to the main menu normally) THEN you can do whatever u want to do.
Now I don't know if how well u do (in those first three races) actually affects anything later in in ur career (cause that tutorial crap and a few pvp matches which are main reasons to play anyway were enough for me) but all I'm saying is during those 3 races it really doesn't matter come in 1st come in last the commentators still say the same stuff u still just go through all three of them etc.
It's just the point of literally being forced to HAVE to go through that just to get to a main menu is pretty sad imo.
As I said the game itself isn't "bad" just I don't see anywhere at all where it's worth $60 that's just my honesty opinion.
But again glad others are finding some kind of fun/value within these 3 games. For me all 3 games this month for pro were a miss. It happens. Why I'm also just saying at least some light at the end of the tunnel and early in the month as well (serious Sam collection) do I have to pay for them? Obv but to me. It's so much more worth it at least it's 3 games I KNOW I will enjoy vs 3 games (that sure free) just did nothing for me.
My daughter may end up playing them but honestly I see them staying in the back of my library right next to thumper and farming sim. Lol just games that don't do anything for me at all. Like I don't like destiny 2 like at all, I will still hop on from time to time and play pvp with it though. These other 5 I just mentioned (and no not to sh*t on them) just really won't ever be played. Free or not, they are just bad games imo. N maybe bad if the wrong word cause like I just said maybe the games themselves aren't bad, just not my cup of tea at all.
Guys do not be bad with Stadia Team, they are trying ... they are new to the technology market is not as if they had a large corporation behind like apple, microsoft or amazon Google is a small corporation that is dedicated to advertising, some ads on YouTube here,.. some ads on android over there ... and collect data with your browser through cookies so that other companies can sell things.
I think getting some failed titles on other platforms would be a great addition to PRO if they don't get the big games.
For example Anthem, Fallout 76, Atlas or Jump Force.
Why do you laugh guys ... don't laugh are good games![]()
Ok Google I just bought Ghost Recon without a discount for game developers to see that if you can sell at full price, without a season pass because this is my title number 21 and I have many things to play.
I hope that with this purchase you can feed your 12 hungry children for at least one day.
I don't like to see children suffer
@ChronosP I didn't get Grid as a "free"game because I bought it back when it was on sale (no regrets! I bought it cuz I wanted it!). But I hardly play Grid!
So I was like... Alright, let me try this Steamworld mess... And ever since I tried it, I've been playing for hours every day for the last few days! I haven't even played the Steamworld Dig yet because I've spent so much time playing Steamworld Quest, lol! I thought I was gonna hate it, cuz I love real, open world, RPGs ( AC ODYSSEY, Witcher 3, etc). So I thought the turn-based card thing was gonna bore me to death. But I'm really enjoying it. It's not exciting, but it's fun and silly and keeps me wanting to play it. I was really surprised.
Hey @Xevioso more I play more I wish the card thing wasn't there and we could select things from a list instead, after 6 or 7 hours you are constantly getting debuffed with burn or blind or paralysis and never randomly got the card there, don't think not having the card system would detract from what it is already but guess that's the way it is, just gets a bit monotonous later on.
@ARGAH I didn't get bored. But there's a few things that could be better. The enemies parties can be up to 5 characters. We have to choose 3 to make up our team. I wish our team could get bigger as we progress. Also... MORE CARD SLOTS! 8 cards per player? It's not enough. Lastly, more equipment slots for sure. 3 (one weapon and 2 accessories) is not enough.
But I still had a lot of fun playing so far!
It's the only game so far to get me off Destiny but it's just given me an itch for deeper RPG experience so went ahead and bought FF15 ![]()
Would appreciate a FFXV PRO deal soon. Cuz the price keeps me away from it tbh.
@ChronosP it's already been reduced to £20 I think but for £35 with 4 DLC's and exclusive mode to stadia and Comrades it's really not a bad deal, haven't played before either so even better.
with all the dlc's? Might take a look sooner or later on it. Thanks for the info.
Yeah I was surprised too, here's a quote...
"As detailed in a tweet from the studio, the Stadia version includes all four DLC episodes, the Royal Pack and Comrades multiplayer, the Booster Pack, and the Holiday Pack."
I've done all the final fantasies apart from the online one and honestly at £35 this is a no brainier, happily pay that and don't care if price goes down.
@ChronosP Couple hours into final fantasy and so far so good, it's more like 13 than the other turn based versions and with 13 being my fave can see me milking every bit of content on offer, word of warning though though it only runs at 30fps which is noticable straight away when coming from 60fps, other than that I'm very happy
I completed the game today after 20 hours. It's really good.
You have a new game+ if you want to continue after that.
