Stadia running on Steam Deck (no major mod, just configuration)

Here's the step-by-step instruction - enjoy: https://tmzl.de/stadia-steamdeck

I tried the following first-person games before writing this, and they all work fine aside from a few key bindings being strange. The only real caveat is that the camera analog stick seems to be a bit too sensitive, but I only noticed that in Division 2. Aim & Shoot with the triggers is always exactly where it needs to be, as is Jump:

  • Fenyx rising

  • Resident Evil 7

  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider

  • Sekiro

  • Division 2

  • Y’s VIII – Lacrimosa of Dana

  • Jedi Fallen Order

I tried the following 2D games with different results:

  • Monster Boy & the Cursed Kingdom: almost unplayable – needs button reassignment

  • Bloodstained: playable, but button assigment is partly odd. But that should be easy to fix.

Anything that requires mouse-only control should work well with the right touchpad & trigger buttons for left and right click.

Huhu tmz1978,

thanks for sharing your experiences.

I think that's point for Stadia and Steam Deck to start from, isn't it? :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello @tmz1978

I also ordered one because of Stadia and I love some games I have on Steam. But it will be Q3 to receive it... Thanks for sharing this information! And enjoy your Steam Deck!

Does adjusting the joystick sensitivity in settings help? Are inputs all recognized as a controller or m&k?
