Hey guys,
just a quick question: I am trying to play Stadia on my cell phone which is connected via Bluetooth to an XBOX One controller. Issue is that the right stick is not working. The controller itself works just fine, but it is not working in the Stadia App; left stick works fine. Also other buttons seem to do different things than intended (and defined per game options...)
Again, the controller itself works fine - using it also on my XBOX without issues.
Trying with following devices
- Cell Phone: Samsung S20 Ultra
- XBOX one controller
- Game: Red Dead Redemption 2
Anybody an idea or recommendation?
Thanks for any help
Alex
I have the same problem with a Nintendo Switch compatible Pro Controller. On my Google Pixel 2 the controller left stick works, buttons are weirdly mapped or non functioning, and the right stick does not work at all.
On my Google Chromebook Pixel 2015 the controller connects fine with bluetooth, but is not recognized at all.
I contacted Stadia support. Let's see where it goes.
Well, pretty much as expected they say it's not a supported controller (as it's only a Nintendo Switch compatible Pro Controller, not an original Nintendo Switch Pro Controller).
I made a detailed analysis, and interestingly the controller works almost perfect (except for 2 buttons) on Android 9 on my tablet (but that does not support Stadia), and has many buttons mixed up (like in your case) on Android 10 where Stadia would run.
Bummer, I hope you had more luck with your XBOX controller.
Having the same issue, Xbox One controller is brand new, works fine on my Xbox. Firmware up to date.
Connected to my Galaxy S10, works fine until actually in a game. The previous Xbox One controller I had worked fine on my phone, all buttons worked as should, but had to send the controller back as one button was faulty. Tried the new one out on The Turing Test and Superhot and the buttons were way off, only the left stick works as it should. Played around with it to find B was shoot (Superhot), RB was Pause (both), right anonlogue stick pushed left was shoot (both), just to name a few. Button Settings had correct buttons for actions shown but not happening in game. Am I missing something? Like I said, the previous controller worked fine in game.
Samsung Galaxy S10
XBOX One Controller
Playing; The Turing Test/Superhot
All software and devices up-to-date.
Also tested controller on Tab S2 on games from Playstore and all buttons worked as they should.
Hi Alex_42 and FridgeMan. I wanted to check in here and ask if your issue has resolved.
In the event that it has not, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the Stadia app. Thank you!
Still having the same issue, uninstalled the app, DL'd again with no luck, restarted my phone. Can't work out why the last controller worked straight away no issues but this one doesn't.
I tested few things in my scenario.
1- CCU connected to Denom AVR 891 using HDMI.
2- factory reset CCU
3- setup CCU using google HOme App and Stadia App.
4- play GRID is 5.1 sorround sound
3- play PUBG it’s 2 channel only not 5.1
After I tried I don’t seem to have any issue with surround sound setup. Just remember that not all games are 5.1 channel. some are 5.1 and some are not.
other than that factory reset solved the 5.1 problem.
Hi all,
any news about that problem? I have the same.
All ja Xbox One controllers are connected via Bluetooth with my Note 20 Ultra and they work fine with all other apps. But in the Stadia App there is no reaction.
What can I try?
Can we say for sure that only Samsung phones show issues?
The controller works fine on my Xperia 1ii but I haven't tested it on my Galaxy Tab S6.
RB = Pause on my Samsung Chromebook Plus. guess I'll buy a stadia controller now. sigh
No it is not just Galaxy phones I have an LG phone and I'm having the same problem with buttons not doing what they're supposed to do
Didn't try on mobile, but I play stadia on pc with an xbox one controller all the time, and it's actually better supported than the stadia controller. Vibration on stadia controller is not supported by the game developers, and xbox one and playstation 4 controller has full vibrational ffb support on all stadia games.
Hey mate. I sometimes play on my s20 and everything works fine. Although I had some issues with my power A wired controller, so I know what you are talking about. But now with Xbox series X controller connected via blutooth everything is fine. I think youo can find a tutorial on how to solve it,but you will need ROOT
I am having the same problem, but it seems more that buttons are mapped incorrectly. I messed with control schemes and was able to derive some more functionality, but it just seems that there is no correct mapping
