With the whole covid situation going around, wouldn't this be a good time for the platform to launch in more countries to gain traction especially since there's people sitting at home most of the time? Also it was reported in the media that india would be getting a launch in Q1 2020 and no word yet.
I don't recall seeing any announcements from Google on the next set of countries beyond the initial 14 that Stadia operates in already.
Google will release Stadia in the countries that it is ready to when the infrastructure and systems are all in place. I can't see that a covid-19 pandemic is going to force their hand to do something sooner imho.
As I said earlier, it was a report from the media that this would happen and it was an observation that it would help them gain traction. I live in india and steam remote play together works fine with friends half way across the world. So the internet up and down speed from a home user to another home user seems fine for 4k@
