Stadia had worked great for me since day one. But starting on about the evening of the 7th, it keeps saying unstable connection, and booting me after about 3 minutes of gameplay. Every time. On every device- phone, computer, CCU... I'm using Google Wifi, and ran a diagnostic, and everything is great. Which shouldn't even matter because my CCU is plugged into ethernet. My internet speeds, from the Stadia test, are coming in between 85-105Mbps every time. Latency around 11ms. Everything is running dreamy, except the thing I want the most.
I chatted with Customer Service for about an hour today- and they said they are just becoming aware of the issue (apparently this issue is more widespread than just little old me), but they have no recourse for right now.
Which sucks. Cause, uh, Cyberpunk hits in just a few hours, and even though I preordered it, even though I've been paying $10/month for the service since day 1, I won't be able to play it. I'm paying for the privilege of not playing a game I bought and paid for.
I know I sound salty, but there it it. Anyone else having a similar problem?
I've been having this problem for over a month. Talked to CS again, they actually want me to put up the money for a replacement Chromecast bundle just to have it sent within an acceptable time frame. Was rudely disconnected without resolution as well.
The outright audacity of Google is absolutely gobsmacking. This is a company that either sold me defective products, or simply can't deliver the service I pay monthly for, and they want me to put up more money to potentially fix their error?!! And I say potentially because Google doesn't know how to fix our problem, so CS is simply playing a guessing game, on my time and dime.
I've just about had it, this is the most pathetic gaming experience of my 40 years on this earth, 37 of which spent playing games.
