With whatever game I play, even shooters like Doom or Destiny 2, they just don't play very well with the mouse and keyboard. Everything feels very laggy and jittery. And whenever I would try to pause, it would "window" the game and bring up the "back to game/exit game" prompt. Everything works just fine and smoothly with the Stadia controller, though.
Does Stadia actually expect you to play all your games with the Stadia controller, regardless of the device or the game itself?
Try going through the official troubleshooter and see if it can get you a working solution. Else, feel free to reply back here and I'll see if I can help more.
@Kadesman From my experience, the m/kb experience has been different from game to game. One game that I found with really good m/kb experience is The Division 2, but for other games I share your sentiment (which is the reason I still play Destiny 2 on PC, because I can't play FPS games with a controller).
When you said you're trying to pause, do you mean pressing the Esc key? If yes, try tapping the key, as if you're holding it for too long, it will trigger the exit game prompt.
Hiya @Kadesman,
Sounds like you having some Chrome issues?
Could you try a Incognito Window to see if it works better that way?
Sometimes a few plugins could cause some strange behaviour with Stadia.
i play kb/mouse all the time no difference here from controller. an extension causing problems maybe ?

The troubleshoot hasn't been helpful at all because in the third step, none of the three options relate to what I've been experiencing at all, and there's no option to select "other" or to describe my issue.

I already am just tapping the Esc key. It's still an issue.

Actually, I stopped playing on Chrome because it's been giving me other issues. I've been playing on Brave.
Ah ok. Yeah I have read some more issues with the Brave browser.
A other thing you could try is try Chrome Canary.
Well, I switched over to Brave 'cause I've been getting significant issues than with Chrome that I don't here.
I have considered the Canary, but only briefly because they warn you that it can be unstable.
@Kadesman Stadia + extension and Edge browser solved my problem. You should try it..
