Hello,
Stadia has become unplayable on my Desktop, but only on my desktop...
The games are pixelated, sometimes the image freezes but I can still hear the game running in background. Sometimes I get disconnected with a bad connection error. This started to happen a few days ago. Before that it was awesome.
I am scratching my head over this:
My Internet speed is 500 mbps download and 100 mbps upload.
Test 01 Ethernet on my Laptop (same cable I'm using on my desktop) = 500 mbpsLaptop - wired - 500 mbps
Test 02 Ethernet on my Desktop = ~20 mbps
Desktop - wired - 21mbps
Test 03 Ethernet on my Desktop showing different results on another speedtest
Desktop - wired (service comparison)
Things I already tried without luck:
So my question is... What could be throttling my internet speed with just some services, I mean Stadia and https://www.measurementlab.net/ (the only two places that I'm having this issue, everywhere else I got full speed).
Thanks in advance.
I know that the problem was within my computer settings because I can play on Stadia just fine, with my full internet speed, with another computer, with the same router, and same ethernet cable, as I mentioned in my post... I was asking if anyone knows which settings were causing this.
But, nevermind I finally found it... I had the Receive Window Auto-Tunneling Level disabled on my TCP settings...
To fix it, I had to type the command “netsh interface tcp show global” into the command prompt box (without quotation marks) to view the configuration options of my computer.
To enable the feature, I typed the command “netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=default” and voilà.
Finally, I can play on Stadia again on my Desktop...
Call your ISP and they change the cable from the street pole to your router, it is your ISP's fault.
Changing the cord runs smooth as butter.
Stadia has no connection problems.
It's your fault.
