Hi @DanFromGoogle I got charged instead of refunded and I'm unable to contact anyone to sort this out. Can you help?
Hey federico. You'll need to contact customer support for more assistance with your refund.

Hey DanFromGoogle
Short question (sry to ask here - i'm not using Facebook or Twitter, thus have no chance of contacting support): i bought a controller/chromecast-bundle via google store a few months ago but wasn't able to install it (and/or register for stadia).
Is there a procedure for "non registered" i have to follow to get a refund, or will i receive a refund automatically?
Hello @DanFromGoogle,
Thanks for this clarification.
Could you please provide the address to return the controllers or provide guidances for recycling?
Thanks!
Google is ONLY refunding the COST of purchased hardware, they are NOT accepting the return of any Stadia associated hardware. Any reuse or disposal of said hardware is the purchasers responsibility.
The controllers are yours to keep even after the refund, you do not need to send them back. They can function on PCs using the included cable. If you plan on getting rid of it, please follow your local area's guidelines for recycling electronic devices.
I have received emails for refunds for all my Stadia purchases. I no longer use the same payment method or have access to that card or account. How can I update this info to receive my refund to my correct account.
I also have this issue. I don't even know what bank the refunds were sent to since I use privacy.com to manage online purchases.
My refunds are going to old debit cards. How do I change that? I need links and or phone numbers. Google already lead me here.
My refund went to the wrong card. I can’t get in contact with anyone
Hello got a wierd situation . I've got 3 emails today about refund 1am, thats ok (smallest amounts ..)and also i see it on stadia are "payed back" these are ok..As i said was only 3.. But what about a rest of tem very expencive pre orders etc? No emails no payed back and not even on my previous purchase on google play BUT on my other side is there..And i bought from google stadia website. So uhm what? we talk about 180 bucks.. i just see now all dessapier from my account is good i downloaded before! but where should i send i want back them..and why is gone all my purchase?

Hi
i received the refund on google play credit but i am not going to use any app or suscriptions therefore this credit is useless. I want to get refunded on my credit card as i was forced to use credit as i wanted to use my google rewards credits but it was a special sale you didn't accept to pay partially with credit and the other part with a credit card, therefore i only was able to pay in fulll with google play credit
I can see also a lot of people stuck with the same situation but even with a lot or more money. I can believe that google can't sort this out. Even you can't use the credit to buy on the store. That's non sense
Thank you
I am having the same issue as you, I'm now out over $90. This is unacceptable. Customer support hasn't done anything to correct the issue, nor do they seem to understand. Google is treating this like a joke, but it's not at all a joke... especially if you're not rich.
bonjour,
Bruno
@DanFromGoogleIs there any update available on the Play Balance expiration date issue? A large chunk of my refunds were sent to my Google Play Balance and are set to expire in 4 days. I am afraid I will not be able to use them in that time and they will be lost. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
If you are still experiencing the Play Balance expiration date issue, please contact the Google Play Store Support.
Do you have any updates regarding the stadia refunds related to Google play point purchases? I feel that under these circumstances (the shutdown of Stadia), that all refunds should have been processed in a manner that allowed users to access the funds they invested into the platform. Stadia users would be able to repurchase games and add-ons bought through the stadia platform. If I had purchased Google Play credits to be used in the play store, I would never ask Google to transfer the balance. However, I blindly purchased google play funds for use on the Stadia platform. Now that Google has decided to shut down the platform, I am out over $90 and can't afford to repurchase the games and add-ons that I bought through Stadia. Google will transfer the funds from Google Play to Google Pay if the funds belong to a child who is of age 13 or younger, so they do have the option to transfer a balance at their discretion. Like I mentioned earlier, I bought credits for Stadia, Stadia shut down, and the credits were returned. Unfortunately, I can not repurchase my games and add-ons with Google Play funds. These Play credits were purchased with cash (not earned through surveys or tasks) specifically for Stadia use, so as it currently stands the money I used to purchase Stadia games and add-ons is fairly useless. I'd happily transfer that money to random people if that was an option...at least someone would get to enjoy it, lol. If I had lost $5 or $10 I wouldn't be at all bothered, but over $90 is a lot of money for many, including myself. I hope Google understands why I'm upset and at some point decides to correct this issue.
